I have done this a few times now and this is the most professional company i have gone with. Been approached by alot of companies;some with great reviews and some not so much but they were very honest with me. Alot of these companies seemed to be able to do anything I was requesting but 1 shot seemed to be the only who was genuine about what they could offer me.Everything went as planned.You guys have earned yourself a regular.  (more)

Do not use this company save yourself time, money and aggravation. They did not pick up my car in the time they said they would and kept changing the date. I finally went with a different transporter that was $50 less except for the $200 deposit 1 shot refused to refund.  (more)

I called a month in advance to my planned pickup date of March 28 to schedule for my 2 cars to be picked up. I called a few days prior to the actual pick up date to confirm a pick up time, Rene tells me that there aren't any drivers available. Not having drivers available was that big of a deal, but what was a problem was the lack of communication. We were never contacted about the company not having a driver available and had to be told at the last minute, days before we were to fly out. I emailed Rene and never received a reply, I called and was placed on hold for extended periods of time. Finally after cancelling service and going with another company, I wanted my refund. I was told that it would take 7-10 business days to receive my refund of $290.00( don't understand how it would take so long to receive my refund when it only took the company 30 min to charge the deposit to my account.I could go on and on, but most important I want to say this company if VERY UNPORFESSIONAL!!!  (more)

THIS HAS BEEN MY FIRST EXPERIENCE TRANSPORTING A VEHICLE. NATURALLY I WAS LOST AND INEXPERIENCED. BUT CARLOS AT 1 SHOT EXPRESS TRANSPORT MADE THIS EXPERIENCE A VERY PLEASANT ONE. THE DRIVER FOR UNITED AUTO CARRIER, SERGIE WAS A GOD SENT! MY CAR WAS TO BE P/UP AT A SHOP IN NJ. HE PAID MY MECHANIC FOR THE REPAIRS, SAVING ME A TRIP TO NJ TO DO SO. THIS WAS ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY! HOW AMAZING IS THAT? I WOULD UTILIZE THEIR SERVICES WITH MY EYES CLOSED ANYTIME! I COMMEND YOU 1 SHOT EXPRESS! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. So I was trying to have my car shipped from NY-FL. Of course 1-shot said, "NO problem, just give us the 1-2 day window on pick up and around 3-4 days on delivery." This sounded golden for me since I would have another car to use in the meantime. This is where the misery began. My car was supposed to be picked up on the day that hurricane Issac was expected to make landfall in FL. The only issue is FL is 1400 miles from NY and I don't think the truck picking my car up would be affected seeing as though it was in Vermont. When I called I was told that no driver was ever assigned to me. I gave it a couple days to see if the dust would settle after the weather. 4 days later..."Mr. I don't have any new news for you." At this point I was getting aggravated and asked for a refund. I was told they have the "chance" to ship my car up to ten days before I could get a refund. At this point I didn't even want this company to look at my car let alone transport my NEW car that far. After cancelling the service (after the mandatory hold time) I am STILL awaiting a refund for my $150.00 booking fee, and now have booked a flight home to drive my car back since this company clearly isn't competent enough to follow through with their proposed job. STEER CLEAR AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK- I thought I did, but a couple good reviews on this company allowed me to ignore the 100's of bad reviews. Pros: They will give you the lowest price to lure you in an make it seem like you have chosen the right company- with a call from Jose or some guy from EXT: 124 who I guarantee will NEVER answer your calls. Cons: Everything else! -Horrible phone service -Insurance covers NOTHING in the car -Unreliable transport (hope you have a month window to get your car- if you're lucky...) -Overall horrible experience Regards, (Call placed to 1-shot--- review was submitted and later received a call as detailed below) Me: My car was never shipped and I was told I would receive the $150 refund. Customer Service: I just checked with our department and see a truck was never sent (which is also verified by the fact that my parents live where my car is parked and haven't noticed a tractor trailer in the driveway lately) Me: Yes it was never picked up in the 10 day window. Customers Service: We will credit your account and send a receipt to your email, sorry Me: Thank you. Moments after posting the review I received a call from 1-shot Express customer service. Customer Serivce: Mr. Marino, What is with the review? Me: It is exactly what happened. Customer Service: HAHA good luck getting your refund back...Click I am over being aggravated by this, luckily it was only $150. I hope I can advise the millions of viewers of this site the importance of customer courtesy and the strength a recent review has on its potential customers. Honestly this has been the worst experience with any company I have ever worked with. As a military member I have moved 8 times over 14 years, this is not new to me, but "One Shot" consistently over-promises and under-delivers. "Customer service" was non-existent, and when you got them on the phone they were habitually rude. Don't expect communication from them, you have to call repeatedly only to be told you would be called back...which never happens. Honestly these guys are the worst.  (more)

Please, if you accomplish nothing else today, seek business with another company. THEY EVEN TRIED TO REMOVE MY NEGATIVE REVIEW FROM TRANSPORTREVIEWS.COM! I had a terrible experience that was ended up being much more expensive and stressful than necessary had I gone with a reputable broker. I signed up with 1 Shot Express on 10/29/11 to have my truck transported from CA to WV. I was quoted a price of $1,145 for the service and paid my $200 deposit even though no service was provided yet. I was naive. The pickup date was scheduled for 11/13, and I was GUARANTEED delivery 11/21 by both Rene and David. Looking back it was a crazy verbal promise, and I realize now it was again naive of me to believe them. I should have at least asked for it in writing. From 11/10, I called daily to follow-up on my pickup and when a carrier would be contacting me. I was told repeatedly that the carrier was in my location and would be contacting me. However, when the date arrived, David kept telling me that driver's truck broke down. This occurred for the next 3 days. I was getting on a plane later that week, and it was clear my truck was not being moved. I researched with other companies to get a sense of how the business works. I did not sign up for any service or contract with them, so I did not double book. If they posted me, it was inappropriate since I never agreed to any transaction with other companies. What I found out is that my quote of $1,145 was extremely low since WV is a rarely traveled destination. Carriers do not want to transport it on such a small margin. Every other broker I spoke with told me my truck would never be picked up for that price. David repeatedly told me my quote was not an issue and it was just a matter of finding a carrier - which he kept telling me would happen. Now it's obvious why it was so difficult. I ended up having to sell my truck, and needed to rent a vehicle while in WV until I was able to purchase a used one. Please, do not use this company!  (more)
