Subject : Satisfied Customer

I decided to go with Viking because they had the best price. They picked up and dropped off on time. I could stay in contact with them through this transition. They were friendly and helpful. My jeep was delivered on time and not damaged. I also had it packed with some personal items and they were all intact with no damage. I definately recommend this company.  (more)

Subject : honest and straight forward

I have gotten both good news and very bad news from these guys on multiple occasions but they have never forced repairs on me and have even been honest about things that could wait and could allow me to have more time to prep before forking over the money necessary to make some of those bigger and more expensive repairs. All car repairs are very expensive right now no matter where you go but I feel like these guys are pretty honest and straight forward with me.  (more)

Subject : Very unprofessional.

Took about 24 hrs to find out if the dispatcher can pick up my car. No returning of calls and you have to keep calling them to find out exactly what is going on. Not very honest or at least open about how they are going to transport the car. They tow your car for about 40-50 miles, not on a flat bed, but dragging it rather than using the haulers to pick it up. Was not stated or gave heads up that they will be doing it. One day of my time wasted waiting for their pick up and showed up next night. Offering $30 credit to give five stars, not a chance. Customers feel free to contact me for honest opinion.  (more)

Subject : Fast And Excellent!

My car was shipped from San Francisco to Durham, NC and it arrived 2 days earlier that anticipated. When I told the driver I was not available in Durham until 2 days later (the assigned arrival date), they were amenable to changes and did hold my car. Communication with the dispatcher was not a problem. I would definitely use this service again if I ever need to ship my car! I would also DEFINITELY recommend this to anyone else looking for fast service with a reasonable cost!  (more)

Subject : Scam

Viking Auto Transport Do NOT do business with this company! A little over 2 years ago, my husband was about to enter the fleet, having completed the RAG, he had received orders to the East Coast for his first tour. We had our hands full, as many military families do, and decided it would be best to ship one vehicle and drive the other. After searching and shopping around, we came across Viking Auto Transport, out of Florida. Viking offered reasonable rates, ease of setting up shipment, and even allowed up to 50 lbs of goods inside the vehicle we were shipping! This was perfect for us, we were shipping the vehicle to my parents, and were able to store away some additional items that we didn't need at the time and that my parents could use. Viking emailed us a service agreement to sign and fax back, we were contacted by a carrier within days, and the vehicle was picked up and on it's way. The driver contacted both my parents and us during the transport, updating us on his location and giving updated estimated time and date of arrival for drop off. We were all very pleasantly surprised by the ease of shipping a car, the hassle-free set up, and the timeliness of the drop-off. The driver was professional, polite, and the car arrived with zero issue. So naturally, when the time came again to ship a vehicle, we immediately recalled the ease and affordability of Viking Auto Transport and without hesitation decided to have them ship our car. We shipped the same vehicle, a 1998 Toyota 4-Runner, this time from Virginia to Indiana. We received a quote from Viking, once again, very reasonable, and had originally set the pick-up date for late August. About a week before the car was scheduled to be picked up, there was an issue with the car, and I had called to request a change in the date. That's when the red flags started going up. It took me about a day to contact Tony at Viking. When I finally got in touch with him, he assured me this was no problem and he emailed me an updated service agreement to sign and fax back. The date was changed to 12 September. 12 September came and went, and I called Tony at Viking to ask if he had an estimated date/time when I could expect the carrier to arrive. Tony was very unprofessional, stating (in a demeaning tone) that if I had paid attention when I originally set up the transport, I would have recalled that the carrier has "a few days" to pick up the car and that the carrier would contact me with plenty of time to coordinate pick up time etc. Keep in mind that the service agreement clearly states to "allow 2 day window" for pick up. Today marks a full week since the vehicle was scheduled to be picked up. I attempted to contact Tony at Viking Auto Transport by phone multiple times today, however each call was answered by the voice mail. I tried to email Tony at Tony@vikingautotransport.com, only to have the emailed returned to me saying that it was undeliverable due to host/ domain name not found. I tried to google Viking Auto Transport, and when clicked on www.vikingautotransport.com from the search results, I was advised that the site didn't exist. The site is how I originally made contact to inquire about shipping this time around, a few months ago. Now, all of a sudden, the site doesn't exist any longer, the email doesn't exist any longer, no one answers the phone...hmm. Then I did a search for reviews for Viking and come to find out, within the past month or two, I am not the only person who has been taken advantage of by Viking Auto Transport. MANY people have reported reviews that the company "stole money", in the manner that they paid a deposit (just I like did) and they never received services (just like I didn't) and now they are unable to make contact for a follow-up (hmm, sounds just like my situation). My next step was to file a claim with the Better Business Bureau, which I did. As I looked through the claims, many others have filed claims against this company! Moral of the story: Even if you think a company is reputable, Even if you have done business with them in the past, EVEN if you think you know exactly what you are getting yourself into...ALWAYS check reviews, Always check with the BBB, Always do your research! I was really fooled, apparently many were, by Viking Auto Transportation. Their site looked legit, I had used them before, They had invoices, forms, letterhead...the works. Sometimes you just never know when you're going to be taken advantage of.  (more)

Tony from Viking Auto Transport ripped me off. After he received my deposit he would not return my calls. I did receive an email from him stating that Viking Auto Transport was going out of business. I canceled my contract and requested a refund of my deposit, but of course I never heard back from them. AVOID THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF.  (more)

Subject : SCAMMERS

PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE this company nor talk to Tony who is pretending to be Richard etc.... The fact that they did not do any of the things they promised, they charged my sons card TWO times who is a young US ARMY soldier whose money is hard earned just makes me boiling mad. I just called them, and of course no answer. We called another company as soon as we cancelled with them this morning and in 8 hrs my son's car left for its destination. ALL the complaints about this company is legit. They inflicted too much stress and anger to their clients for non delivery of service. This will escalate to a demand for refund from a lawyer if this will not be resolved as soon as possible.  (more)

Subject : Thieves (PERIOD)

After giving me a 2 day window to pick up the car, the guys didn't show up even on 3rd business day, and furthermore, even at that point this guy Tony was not apologetic, and said nothing is guaranteed. I cancelled my order, and in the last 2 months I have sent them numerous reminders for the refund of my $110 advance, and each time Tony says he has notified the accounting department. As if they are a multi-billion $ conglomerate which has 1,000s of people and 100's of department. I have filed a complaint with BBB, and still waiting for a resolution. All their claims in other reviews that they don't run away with money are FALSE, they are really in the business of stealing money. DO NOT fall for their competitive rates, you won't get them, and they would just hope at some point you will stop chasing them for the refund of your advance.  (more)

Subject : LESSON LEARNED

Said the cars would be picked up within a week, here we are a month later and still haven't picked up! Requested a refund 2 weeks ago, haven't seen that either. I have called and emailed several times and was promised a refund within 3-5 business days well that came and went and still nothing. Called and emailed again and again without any reply til I finally got a hold of Tony yesterday and he said it was sent to accounting and there is nothing else he can do and that accounting was backed up. What a joke this company is. Worst mistake I ever made, and to top it off they're not stealing from me personally they are stealing from 2 teenagers (my kids) who bought cars from out of state and hired these fools who are worthless!! My kids work very hard for their money and to have somebody steal it really angers me, even though it has taught them a hard lesson!  (more)

Subject : Bait and Switch

I contracted with Viking on July 15th to pick-up my vehicle on July 22nd. Not only did they miss the original PU date, but as of August 8, they still had not found a driver. They just kept saying they were working on it. They did call me on July 25th to say that they had a driver that would take the load for an additional $200. I eventually canceled with Viking and went with another company. It cost an additional $150, but the move was scheduled within a few hours. So, if you chose to use them, just be prepared to pay more than the original quote.  (more)

Subject : bs company

NEVVERRR use this company! Tony will call quoting you an amazing low quote that will automatically want to book with them. Its bullshit! i booked with them cause they were a couple hundred less, well more than a week went by and i already left the state with my car being left behind. When trying to call to see when they would finally be picking up my car tony said there still waiting to find a drivier because the amount was so low! WTF??? thats y i booked i thought they had a driver already for that deal amount. so i found another company and requested a refund. it was emailed that i should be receiving a full refund within 3-5 business days. two weeks passed still no refund or response from TONY. tried calling and calling and since HES THE ONLY ONE WHO ANSWERS i only got through a couple times, and the times i did he was RUDE AS HELL. He said there behind and hes gonna email the accounting co, for the second time. this is just ONE MORE thing i need to worry about while in the middle of moving across the states! . DEFINITELY go with another co even if its a couple hundred more itll be worth it to not have to deal with this bs or tonys dumbass  (more)

Subject : DEPOSIT THEFT

I hired Viking Auto Transport (a Broker) under Service Agreement # 44331 for a cost of $540.00 on April 7, 2011 to move a 1987 Mercedes-Benz 190D from Alexandria, VA 22305 to Dallas, TX 75206. I dealt with Tony D. (last name never revealed) for this transaction. Tony D. said that a deposit would be charged once a driver had been dispatched and I would be notified via email or phone, when this occurred. I was never notified of any driver assigned to my vehicle. I was advised verbally & via email by Tony D. that the car would be picked up by 04/11/2011 (allow 2 day window). The pick-up date came & went & my car was never picked up. I never received any info from Tony D. or the company until I contacted them on 04/13/2011, at which point I was told that they are working on it and it would be picked up within 48 hours. I waited an additional 2 days & again nothing happened! So again I contacted Tony D. who gave me the same answer that I had been given all along, they were working on finding a driver to pick up the car & I had to continue waiting. At that point, I realized that this was a waste of my time & so I cancelled the order on Friday, April 15th, 2011. I was notified via email on April 15th, 2011 that my $100 deposit would be refunded within 3-5 business days. Five business days went by & my deposit was still not refunded. I contacted Tony D. on April 25th, 2011 to inquire about my deposit, he stated that he would re-submit the request to his accounting department and I should receive an email confirmation of my refunded deposit with 72 hours. Today is Friday, April 28th, 2011 & again I contacted Tony D. about my $100 deposit, his answer was again, "I will submit the request again to our accounting department and that I need to wait another 72 hours for an email confirmation." This is B.S.!! I am not waiting any more for this bogus company! Therefore, I am posting this review. This company gives you a lowball estimate, so they can collect your $100 deposit. When they know full well that your vehicle will never be picked up for the estimate they quoted & you will eventually cancel the order and they will just keep your deposit. In the Viking Auto Transport agreement, it clearly states: "YOU AGREE TO FORFEIT YOUR DEPOSIT IF YOU CANCEL AND A TRUCK HAS BEEN ASSIGNED BY VIKING AUTO TRANSPORT TO PICK UP YOUR VEHICLE(S). My vehicle was never assigned to any TRUCK OR DRIVER and therefore I am DUE MY FULL $100.00 DEPOSIT BACK ASAP! STAY AWAY FROM VIKING AUTO TRANSPORT! THEY WILL SCAM YOUR MONEY & WASTE YOUR TIME!
