Rock Bottom Rate Transport, LLC - Review

We own a limo company and have used rock bottom rate auto transport twice now. Needless to say they are the cheapest most professional PLUS HONEST!!! auto transport company we have ever used in past years and believe me we have gone thru at least 10. Michael the owner is who we dealt with along with his dispatch and trucker Carl. Will recommend and use for all future shipments or transport for my own fleet. They saved us a few hundred this year alone.  (more)

I placed an order with Rock Bottom Transport on Jul 2 2014 to pick up my vehicle from the 9th-11th delivered 14-16th within 7 days it was not honored I should have looked into this company prior to my order #2968, I would have never used them. you know why its called Rock Bottom because thats how low they will go to separate you from your moneys. The one called Mike he is a peace of work, lets just say the best part of hem ran down his fathers leg, if he ever had one. This guy lied right to my face when he promised a 7 day guaranty, Knowing he could not deliver. the car would be picked up Wednesday July 9th 2014 through the 11th and dropped off on the 14th through the 16th, that was the representative:(Mikes) exact words and that I would have it delivered no latter then Wednesday. Never happened after more then two weeks had to cancel and pay someone ales to transport my vehicle. this guy never picked up the phone after the contract was made and he was paid $599.99 through a direct check withdraw. the phone was never picked up again and the only way to make contact was through email. the dialogue was always short and he never answered my concerns. I cancelled my order with them July 21 2014 and received a confirmation from them canceling the order. waited 21 days for my refund as stated in their bogus contract. Today is the 9th of Nov 2014 and still nothing, my emails are not getting responded to anymore. Stay away from this company or any other company that asks for money up front. This company should not be in business I am currently in the proses of retaining legal council. If anyone has any info that can help I will highly appreciate it  (more)

Mike is a liar, fraud, cheat, and scam artist. Do not give him your bank account information! He will take your money, but not pick up your car, then will not answer your calls. He will lie repeatedly and promise your car will be picked up, but never pick it up, or refund your deposit. ( which he insists is paid by your bank account). He knows that a charge card deposit can be disputed and the bank will investigate the fraud.  (more)

Buyer Beware!!!!!! Do NOT use the Rock Bottom Rate Transport, LLC car transport service!! THIS IS THE BIGGEST RIP-OFF EVER!! I contracted to have my car shipped from New York to Florida in September 2014. I signed a contract with Rock Bottom Rate Transport, LLC for $599.00 after speaking with Mike. He advertises zero cost down…..but Mike then tells you that it will cost you an extra $100 if you do not put something down. I did not want the extra charge and Mike told me that if I used a credit card….there would also be another substantial charge. He asked me to give him a check over the phone….so I did give him $99 which was promptly cashed. He sent a contract to me which I signed and my car was supposed to be picked up between Sept 17-19 and delivered Sept 23-25. All set – and so I thought. When Sept 17th came and went I messaged Mike who told me it would be picked up by the 19th per our contract. Thursday came and went….then on Friday when I did not get a call from the transporter for pick-up I tried to connect with Mike on the phone. He would not respond to my phone call. I emailed him several times and texted him asking him to call me. Finally later on Friday I received an email from Mike telling me it would be Monday – the day I was flying to Florida. I responded telling him no one would be there for the pick-up in NY. He just would not respond! I called and called…..Mike would not return any call. On Saturday I started calling other transporters to see if I could get someone else…….at that time it was going to cost me over $900. One of the transporters I called told me he saw my request from Rock Bottom Rate Transport, LLC on the national transportation shipper board for $800. In other words…..Mike put my request out there for $800……..not the $599 in my contract! So here is what would have happened……..if Mike got a shipper for $800 to pick up the car…..I would have been surprised when the car was delivered to Florida and would have had to pay the shipper $800 to get my car off the truck. What a surprise that would have been. I again emailed Mike telling him to cancel the order since he did not live up to the conditions set forth in the contract. After I investigated a little further………I found that Rock Bottom Rate Transport , LLC has been called out for fraud so many times it is disgusting! I even saw a report that Mike fabricated several positive reviews on some of the transport web sites to mislead the consumer into thinking he was an honest shipper. Mike takes your money and never picks up the car. You lose your deposit. Or…..you get your car shipped but it costs much more than you contracted for. I have tried over and over to get my $99 back (sent message on 9/25, 10/3, 10/31, 11/2, 11/4) but again Mike just refuses to respond. I later found out he uses the check method for deposit because consumers can get a refund if using a credit card……but not with the check. He has even been accused of cashing checks against a customer’s checking account without permission!! This is Mike’s mode of operation……get a deposit and never picks up the car. I’ve listed below just a few of the various internet sites, including the Better Business Bureau, which shows how Rock Bottom Rate Transport, LLC is a huge SCAM!! So take it from one who got ripped off………do not use Rock Bottom Rate Transport, LLC for car transport! Check it out for yourself  (more)

This company is a total scam. They take your money (cash only dorectly wired from your bank account) then do not transport your car. Despite a 7 day gauarantee my car was never transported. He eventually stops returning calls and emails. Michael is a fraud and liar be forewarned once he has your money you won't hear a thing ever again.  (more)

Absolutely Horrible Service! I am a military service member who was moving a truck to Florida changing duty locations. I signed a 7 business day contract to move the truck which would have ensured that it be picked up 3 day prior to me having to relocate to Florida. When I call and emailed on day 7, I was told that "the truck had problems and there was weather" but was told the truck would move soon. On day 9, I called after many emails that never gave me any specifics of when the truck would move. I was then told that if I paid an additional $200 that the truck would have a better chance to be picked up quickly. There is a saying...fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me that applies here. I instead requested that the order be cancelled and my deposit refunded. Due to their unprofessionalism, I had to change all of my travel arrangements for both me and my family, plus I had to buy a last minute plane ticket to Boston to pick the truck up myself and drive to Florida costing my over $1500! The sad thing is all Mike had to do was tell me in advance that he had underpriced the move, and I could have made different arrangements and avoided this confusion. Now I am out of my $1500, and my deposit which has yet to be refunded. I was told it would be 21 business days from the order cancellation to receive my refund, but we are now at 29 day and counting and mysteriously I cannot get a return to my numerous phone calls and emails. This is really sad to be victimized like this. The only good thing i have going for me is that I am an attorney; i now live close to FT Myers; and I am patient... :-)  (more)

Hi-its me again- I said I was gonna update everybody on my experience with RBRT, being a frequent multi-car mover. Well, it gets better, My Jag was delivered ahead of time, the driver brought the car to me at work or whever I could have chosen- Nice courteous professional guy and his assistant to make things happen faster. They picked up another car right away and now I have a 1966 Classic Electra they are ready to pick up Now and bring it from TX to NY in 2.5 days . Wow- these guys are magic with their rates and live updates..Driver available all time to give you status of your car's location ETA etc..I will keep you all posted but I am pleased very impressed so far with RBRT..  (more)

the vechical was picked up quick and delivered to a spot near my apartments to offload before i had to go to work. the driver of the truck was friendly and curtious. great experience overall  (more)
