: terrible work experience
My vehicle was picked up by Nationwide Transit and delivered on 01/18/2011. The drivers name that delivered my vehicle is Jersey. Jersey had arrived in California on 01/18/2011. He had called me 30 minutes prior and we had met at the intersection of Skyline blvd and Sneath Lane in San Bruno. When I arrived, I had noticed that my vehicle was on the top deck of his truck. There was 1 other vehicle that Jersey had to drive off his truck before he could get to my vehicle. I noticed that my vehicle was chain down in the front and rear end. I had asked Jersey "How come my car was not strapped down using nylon straps instead of chains?" I had previously called Jersey to ask him about how he secures vehicles on his truck before he had left Illinois. I had never purchase or ship a vehicle from out of state before. I was reading some feedbacks from other people that had posted comments about their experiences when it comes to shipping a vehicle. One feedback that I had read caught my attention because that person has had a horrible experience. (more)

: Great Experience!
I was dreading shipping my car after reading all the horror stories, but, the thought of driving my 1992 car 1800 miles was not appealing. So, I went with a broker that assigned me to Nationwide Transit. The driver, Bob, called the day before pickup and a couple times the day of pickup to let me know his status. He was on time (early part of his pickup window) and very personable and put me at ease as I watched my car loaded onto the truck! He estimated that he would be there 3 days later (original quote gave a 7-day window to deliver). He called me from Utah and then again 24 hours before delivery. He called me as he was 1/2 hour away and again when he got as close as he could (road construction). So, the lowest quote was also the best - prompt, no problems, honest! Good luck with your shipping experience - may it turn out as well as mine!
p.s. this company had a bad review on the BB site - however, they are not a member and I called the broker in a panic - they checked their records and had used this transporter 471 times with no complaints! Their record stands with me! (more)

: Our experience with Nationwide Transit Inc.
The pick up of my vehicle was on Monday, June 21st and was executed without any significant problems. The driver for the carrier (Nationwide Transit Inc.) seemed reasonably courteous and competent. But very quickly, the delivery phase collapsed. My wife (who is partially disabled) was driving to the destination (Kingman, AZ) during the this same week. She departed on Tuesday morning, hoping that she would arrive within 2 days of the scheduled delivery date (Monday, 6/28/10) While in transit, my wife received calls from the driver and was threatening to have the car there by 8:00 on Thursday, June 24th and the consequences of her not being there ahead of him. This is clearly 4 days ahead of the scheduled deivery date! I feel this is violation of the contact.
But wait, it gets worse. As it turned out, my wife won the cross country race (much to her detriment) and arrived in Kingman, AZ Thursday morning. After that, she received a call that the truck broke down near Seligman, AZ (about 77 mi. east of Kingman). Rather than hope for delivery, she was asked to pick the car up there. While I realize door to door delivery is not always possible, it should be at least in the same town or city. This is also a violation of the contract. She was fortunate to have a person who was willing to drive her vehicle back to Kingman. We really question whether the truck actually broke down or the driver did not want to stop in Kingman, as the remainder of his vehicles were going to the LA area. However, you must pass through Kingman to get to LA. My wife was unable to talk to the lead driver as he was either likely seeking help, having lunch or hiding somewhere. But she paid the trainee driver who delivered the car off the carrier to her. The only good news is that there appeared to be no body or mechanical damage to the car, just dust and dirt.
I have one more car that I was thinking about shipping to Kingman, AZ. You can bet that I will driving it my self based on this expe (more)

I have nothing but good things to say about my dealings with Nationwide Transit I was given the lowest price that I found on the net. Shipping of automobile met my expectations and went very well.Staffs were very knowledgable and they answered all my phone calls and emails on time.There were no hidden charges and I am extremely satisfied with the service I received from Nationwide Transit.I would strongly recommend Nationwide Transit to others and I will definitely use them for any of my shipping needs in the future. My friend refereed me this company and I am glad that I used this Nationwide Transit for shipping my car from Illinois to California.This transport was very quick from pick up to delivey and I am very impressed. The price was also very competitive and the car was delivered earlier than expected and there was no hidden or extra charges,they offered very good customer service at reasonable cost.I would use Nationwide Transit again, because the people who run the company & drive the transporter are lovely people who do keep in touch with the customer. : Quick and Reliable Service
National Transit picked up my car on a Thursday in Northbrook,IL. My car was delivered in Beverly Hills on Monday. My car arrived on time and with no issues. It feels high-quality to have a carrier that's local and someone you can really get in touch with.
