Official Auto Transport - Review

Horrific experience. They promise to drop your car off with doorr to door service but who knows when the drop of will actually occur. They keep my car for a week longer than promised. The worst part was that it turns out the car had been sitting in a warehouse for multiple days. I expressed the urgency of obtaining my car (so I can start a new job), but the staff (Marshall specifically) wasnot helpful or understanding in the least.. I eventually had to rent a car (spending additional money) and pick up my car from the warehouse myself. There is a reason the service is less expensive than the others. DO NOT HIRE.  (more)

Sam Green came to our rescue when we were in a pinch from another company canceling on us. We had booked to have our vehicle shipped from SF to Portland with another company (SF auto Transport/USA Auto Transport), but one day before our move, they cancelled the job. Fortunately, we were able to find Sam who hustled, worked his magic, and within ONE HOUR was able to find us someone to transport our vehicle! On the day of pick up, the dispatcher (Mike, One Wheel Trucking) came, adeptly brought it onto his trailer, and also kept us updated on the status throughout delivery.  (more)

Julien's quote of $605 to transport my car from NJ to FL was one of the lowest out of what seemed like 100 emails I received. After reading through mostly positive reviews I decided to go with Julien and Official Auto Transport. However, I did called Julien and insisted on paying the full amount with my Amex, which he agreed to, provided I was willing to pay 4% premium, which I did, so the total came to $629.20. 3 days later Julien then sub-contracted iCar to transport my car, but failed to inform iCar that I already pre-payed the full amount. So after 6 days (not 1 to 3 as suggested by Julien for a popular route like NJ to FL), my car was finally picked up by iCar and delivered only 2 days later (total 9 days from order to delivery). Unfortunately when iCar delivered my car, they expected $600 COD, which of course I did not have as I already pre-payed the full amount with Amex. We (iCar dispatcher and myself) desperately tried to get in touch with Julien in hopes of resolving what seemed like a misunderstanding. Unfortunately Julien was nowhere to be found. NO ONE AT OFFICIAL AUTO TRANSPORT ANSWER OUR REPEATED CALL FOR OVER 1 HOUR!!! Well, iCar was not about to leave me the car without being paid first (they obviously didn't get paid by Julien). So after more than one hour of trying, and not wanting to wait more days to get my car, I went to the nearest bank and got a certified check for $600 made out to iCar. Over 24 hours has passed since the car drop off incident, and after repeated emails and multiple voice message, I'm yet to hear back from Julien. Luckily I paid with Amex, and have disputed the charge, but still, do I need to go through this hassle? VERY BAD JOB JULIEN AND OFFICIAL AUTO TRANSPORT, AND VERY IRRESPONSIBLE AND DISHONEST ON YOUR PART. Note: iCar guys were nice and supportive, but understandably could not leave me my car without getting paid first. I would never do business with Official Auto Transport again.  (more)

Since we were moving across the country, it was fundamental that we have our car picked up before we left! They offered us a Quick service. And immediately taken necessary steps to transport my car and our car was picked up the very next day. The driver was accommodating and got our car there quite quickly, with no problems. It was my first time to have my auto transported so I was a little concerned about shipment. We picked service based on the honest information supplied in the information section of the website and I am glad that I used this company for shipping my new car across the country.They found me a great carrier and delivered on all promises. Everything went very smoothly from start to finish,my car arrived on time and the service was more affordable than that of other providers.Would recommend Official Auto Transport to anyone and will call them again if I ever have to ship a car.  (more)

This was a great experience with Old School Transport, very honest, very professional, the truck driver picked up my car and he was very careful with everything, you could tell he is dedicated to the service. Everything went extremely well and efficient .I would do a commercial endorsement for this company and would recommend them to friends, family everybody.  (more)
