Review Description
Julien's quote of $605 to transport my car from NJ to FL was one of the lowest out of what seemed like 100 emails I received. After reading through mostly positive reviews I decided to go with Julien and Official Auto Transport. However, I did called Julien and insisted on paying the full amount with my Amex, which he agreed to, provided I was willing to pay 4% premium, which I did, so the total came to $629.20. 3 days later Julien then sub-contracted iCar to transport my car, but failed to inform iCar that I already pre-payed the full amount. So after 6 days (not 1 to 3 as suggested by Julien for a popular route like NJ to FL), my car was finally picked up by iCar and delivered only 2 days later (total 9 days from order to delivery). Unfortunately when iCar delivered my car, they expected $600 COD, which of course I did not have as I already pre-payed the full amount with Amex. We (iCar dispatcher and myself) desperately tried to get in touch with Julien in hopes of resolving what seemed like a misunderstanding. Unfortunately Julien was nowhere to be found. NO ONE AT OFFICIAL AUTO TRANSPORT ANSWER OUR REPEATED CALL FOR OVER 1 HOUR!!! Well, iCar was not about to leave me the car without being paid first (they obviously didn't get paid by Julien). So after more than one hour of trying, and not wanting to wait more days to get my car, I went to the nearest bank and got a certified check for $600 made out to iCar. Over 24 hours has passed since the car drop off incident, and after repeated emails and multiple voice message, I'm yet to hear back from Julien. Luckily I paid with Amex, and have disputed the charge, but still, do I need to go through this hassle? VERY BAD JOB JULIEN AND OFFICIAL AUTO TRANSPORT, AND VERY IRRESPONSIBLE AND DISHONEST ON YOUR PART. Note: iCar guys were nice and supportive, but understandably could not leave me my car without getting paid first. I would never do business with Official Auto Transport again.
