I got a call from AAA All Star Discount Auto Transporters and simply told them I was looking around since this is my first time transporting a vehicle. He immediately jumped down my throat because I made that statement and asked if I were going to find a better deal than them. Better deal or not, their lack of customer service and rudeness is the reason I would not do business with these people! (more)

I was dealing with a women named Lisa Cooper.I was shipping a car for my elderly parents who can no longer make the long drive to Florida. At first very nice, until It was time to ship the car. I gave a deposit of $249 on Nov 20,2013 My parents car was to be picked up on Dec 29, 2014the day came and went. Lisa said to me it was mechanical problems with the carrier, she said she would call me when the carrier was available she never did. My brother then called the same office spoke to another man and said they could pick it up on 1-1-2014 for additional $200 but it would be in an enclosed carrier not an open one. The vec was picked up and was delivered on the 1-9-2014 8 days later not the 5 that is was promised. When the vec arrived the carrier wanted $1000 I told him that we already gave a deposit of $249 he said no that's no concern of his if you want the car its $1000. Well I just got on the phone and called the local police and explained to them about the scam that was going on. Let me say that when something like this bait and switch occurs to senior citizens the police of Deerfield beach Florida really do look out for you. I am in the process of notifying all the proper agencies and to let them know about this companies scams. (more)

: Terrible Experience
We were given a quote of $749 dollars and ended up paying close to $1200. Our available shipping date was August 1st. The car did not get shipped for close to three weeks. Communication of when the car would be picked up and dropped off was very poor. Overall it was a terrible experience. (more)

I've never spoken with such a stupid person" and it went on like this for about two minutes until he hung up the phone on me. Imagine how he'd treat your car if he could be so rude to me! (more)

: SCAM!!!!!
My purpose for writing this review is to inform people that AA All*Star Discount Auto Transport, Inc is a complete scam. This is my experience with them.
I needed to ship my car, and a “woman” by the name of “Lisa Cooper” gave me an extremely low quote. Of course I was a bit skeptical, so I called their number, 888-896-2938, to confirm the quote and ask a few questions. I hadn’t checked out any reviews at this point. A man answered the phone, and immediately started talking (he would not let me get a word in edge wise). He asked me for my quote number, 101325-HN, and he confirmed the price. I told him that I needed to discuss this with someone before entering into a contract (I also wanted to check out some reviews as I always do before doing business with any company). At this point, he flew off the handle. He told me that I needed to enter the contract NOW, and if I didn’t the price would go up. I tried to respond but he kept speaking over me. The last thing he said before rudely hanging up on me was “Hey, what do I know, I’ve only been doing this for 33 years.”
Upset, I wanted to call back and give this man a piece of my mind. However, after reading some reviews, I decided that this was not the type of individual I could have a reasonable conversation with. Instead I decided to email. Below I have copied and pasted our email exchange.
Clearly, no legitimate company would ever respond to any potential costumer/costumer this way. IT’S A COMPLETE SCAM.
EMAIL EXCHANGE:
“LISA COOPERS” RESPONSE-

I am sure that “Lisa Cooper” or whatever other name this creep goes by will deny all of my allegations as well as the authenticity of the emails. This creep will probably try to turn the situation around on me. If anyone has any doubts that these emails are real, you can respond and I will gladly forward these emails to you in order to verify their authenticity. Fortunately, this idiot is the dumbest con-artist I have ever come across; he let me know what kind of game he was playing about 5 seconds into the phone call. Thankfully, he didn’t get a dime out of me. Any positive reviews posted are fake I’m sure. I only wish that all buyers would read reviews on companies before doing business. This experience has reminded me to do just that. The individual running the show is a real weirdo, so I would stay far away AA All*Star Discount Auto Transport, Inc.

: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
First off let me start off by saying I NEVER do reviews, but this experience warrants a review. What an awful experience, I am moving to Chicago, from southern california looking for a good deal to ship my honda crv and I was quoted $599.00 via email. $299.00 deposit on credit card, and $300 due upon delivery. That is what he quoted me and we agreed on. So, I was a go on this. I called Paul the next morning and he was very rude asking me, "why are you calling me? It's only been 12 hours, you cannot call me and ask what the status of your order is after only 12 hours!" I couldn't get one word in. I then said in a very annoyed voice, "I just wanted to know because my uncle would be the one who was having to take care of this." (I was leaving before my car, so I thought). Then, they send me a confirmation email saying I owed $400 due upon delivery, so I thought that was a little fishy, them changing the quote we agreed on. So, I call Bambi and she tells me oh that must have been a glitch or something. She then emailed me back with the correct quote and updated it. Then, I do not hear anything from them for 3 days so I call Paul again, he tells me he has not heard from any drivers yet and that he would contact me when he does. Seemed yet again very upset and offput that I call to find out what the deal is with this order. HELLO?! I'M THE CUSTOMER!!! I can call five times a day to find out what's going on, I payed you $299 and you aren't being very responsive to my needs. So, Paul then calls me a couple hours later informing me they have a truck that can pick up my car on saturday july 14, and the driver wants $700 due upon delivery. I told him "um, excuse me? We agreed on $300 due upon delivery." He then goes on some rant about how, "I do not understand the business and that this is how it goes. The driver is in control, you may think you are in control but you are in fact not. He then came up with the analogy of this is an election and there are different candidates and no one has been elected" I had no idea what he was even talking about. Not only were they rude over the phone, but when I called him or emailed him about refunding my money he told me, there are no refunds, and that I needed to read the terms and conditions. I then told him they hadn't done anything I paid for goods that I never received. He then told me in a sarcastic tone, that, "you're right we did nothing, we only called the drivers" Yea, so what you picked up a phone and told them you had a potential order. This guy Paul was a real jerk over the phone. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY! I have contacted my credit card company to get my $299 back for the services they never provided me with. I cannot believe companies think they can treat customers like this. (more)

: Lies and false promises!!
Initially got the total cost of $899 $299 deposit =$1198 to ship 2004 Chevy Trailblazer from Port Orange, FL to Beallevue, WA. I listed my first available date as 5/21/12 and my tickets to fly out we're 5/23. I asked Mr. Baldwin if the pick up date will be an issue...."I can guarantee you a driver and that date should not be an issue at all." I had to call him several times as the date of pick up was approaching closer. Half the time they didn't answer or return calls even after leaving a voicemail. Once I finally got him on the line "calling me several times won't get you a driver any faster..." I only did because I wasn't kept in the loop nor informed that there is no driver available to take my SUV. I payed the deposit well in advance and it seemed like that's all they cared about. I need up leaving my keys with a friend as a last resort as I didn't know when or even if my car would ever be picked up...around this time I'm getting more frustrated with this man feeding me BS about how he's working as fast as he can to find me a driver!! Eventually I get a call saying "I have a driver for you but he's asking $1600 at dilevry. He's the only driver heading in your direction and is willing to take your car." I had no choice but to agree at the price since I needed my car in WA ASAP. Baldwin and his assistant only kept in touch till I signed the new/updated contract, $1899 total new amount up from $1198!!! Luckily I saw the drivers contact number in the email and I started the initial conversation with the driver. Baldwin promised the car would be picked up on 5/29 but the drivers words were "I don't know why he said that to you, I'm still in Kentucky right now and won't be able to pick up till 5/31." Luckily the driver covered ground quick and my car got picked up on the 30th and the driver kept in touch with me throughout the entire process. I cannot blame the drivers in this case and this is not my first time shipping my car across country, but I do know for sure that I will NEVER use AA all star whatever again!!! I also plan on filing a complaint against this so called company to the BBB. I just wish Paul Baldwin would've been up front and honest with me from the very beginning and I could've happily found another transportation company to ship my car. Stop making promises that you have no control over you lying scumbag!! My car is on it's way and is expected be delivered a day early than expected, and I thank the driver for updating me constantly. : Paul Baldwin is a FREAK
I went on line for a free rate quote and Paul was the first to respond with a great quote. I called back and let him know that I responded because he was so diligent and quick- but that I needed to check on the status of my car before I could commit and asked if he had sent a quote to my email. He then said...and I quote "Don't bother calling us back" and HUNG UP. I thought surely he misunderstood me so I called back to explain that I just needed to check my vehicle to make sure it was in good runnng condition before I shipped it...I never even got that much out- he is completely out of touch with reality and customer service. He began arguing with me that they don't need my business and I don't understand the way shipping works ...I have never been spoken to like that by anyone with no provocation. He is clearly CRAZY and he must own the company...because any responsible owner would never hire someone like this. My whole office heard him on the phone with me. Do Not
Reward this company by giving them business... See prior reviews by others. NOT a Good way to promote your business Paul... You must be a very wealthy man to feel so confident to push business away. The reality behind my being so offended- is that he just delighted in provoking an argument. Never saw anything like it. (more)

: Get Money, No Action
This was my first (and last) time shipping a car!! Wish I would have done my research!!! I was quoted 499 and on 3/12 I place a deposit of 299. They quickly credited my account (on 3/14).
At first I had no issues contacting them. A week went by, no action, two weeks - nothing. I called and spoke with Lisa, she stated she did not know why it was taking so long. This was on a monday, she said it usually takes 3-5 days to schedule a driver, so she would try to find something by wednesday and she would call me back. Well, I didn't get that call, so I called friday. Paul answered and was very rude!! He has NO concept of customer service, which I told Lisa if he acted like that it would be best that he doesn't answer the phone.
Well I waited and waited, no calls emails or any response from the company. I called again, this time Paul hung up in my face and refused to give me any further information. I called for the next few days consistently, but they refused to answer my calls. I sent email, no respopnse.
Finally mid April, I had enough!! I went to my bank and made a dispute. About a week ago, I received notice from my bank that they had credited $75 to my account. At this point we are at a month of my order being placed.I called to see wahat answers I could get, Paul answered, was VERY rude, stating that I wanted a chargeback and there was nothing more he had to discuss with me. But before he hung up in my face (again) he mentioned, oh yea you will have another fee charged.
If I had to wait a month for my vehicle to be picked up, who wouldn't want their money back. Of course they refused to give me my money back. As I speak, my husband is driving the car back fgrom Ohio.
Lesson learned, and I share knowledge!! Do NOT hire these people, you will lose with them on your team!!!!!!! (more)

Glad I made my choice from actually talking to a representative from this company rather than just going by what was written, as I know from my own experiences I rarely write reviews even when I am very happy with everything. All Star gave me the best price and amazing service, beating the nearest company by over 100 dollars. My car was picked up and delivered in just 4 days and looks as good as when it left. So happy I choose this company, highly recommend! (more)

: Fraudulent company
I had received several quotes from different companies, this one of course being the cheapest, for good reason. It is a scam. Their goal is to get your deposit. After that, they don't care what happens. I made the mistake of trusting this con-artist named Paul. I then got on line and stumbled on this website showing a multitude of complaints. If that doesn't make you wonder, I'm not sure what will. I then found another company and chose to go with them. I called him back immediately and asked him to cancel. He said Ok. When I checked my bank account later that day, I found that he charged me $398, which was not even the agreed upon downpayment. When I called him back, he said he already called drivers and so was charging me for that service. If it's legal to make $400 to make a phone call, then I'm in the wrong business. I told him I'd be reporting him to the Better Business Bureau, and he said, "Oh, I don't care about that." For your sake, do not go with this company, you will be sorry. Good Luck. (more)

AAA ALL STAR DISCOUNT quoted $400 to transport a vehicle from our automotive business in Virginia to a customer in Texas. They charged our credit card $199, and said the balance was to be paid to the driver on delivery of the vehicle. The order was placed with AAA ALL STAR DISCOUNT on August 27,2011. They were scheduled to collect the vehicle on August 30, 2011. When they did not collect the vehicle we contacted them and they said we gave them 3 wrong phone numbers and they could not collect the vehicle. This was not true, and even if it was they still had our email. Additionally they had our address and all the vehicle details to complete the shipment, all they needed to do was direct the carrier to collect it. After several emails and calls they continued to say they will look for another carrier. Then on my last conversation with them they said that they needed more money than the original quote if we wanted the vehicle shipped. I was not willing to accept their bait and switch tactic and therefore asked for a refund, they declined, shouted on the phone at me, insulted me and then hang up. (more)

: Classic Bait and Switch
AAA ALL-STAR DISCOUNT AUTO TRANSPORTERS is a company I will never do business with again. Bottom line is they increased the price by $50 (originally tried for $75) after I sent in my $199 deposit based on a firm quote of $899. After 2 or 3 discussions with them, I decided I couldn't trust them and refused to pay more than the original pricing. They chose to cancel the order.
I discussed this pricing a number of times with Lisa Cooper, and she never once said the price may increase. AAA ALL-STAR DISCOUNT AUTO TRANSPORTERS stated that this was the best price I would find - true!! In fact so good that they would not honor it. The day before the car was going to be picked up, I called them and they say they found a shipper who wanted $75 more for the shipment. I spoke with Paul Baldwin and had the rudest, disgusting, intimidating, unprofessional, abusive, abrasive, insulting conversation I've ever had in any transaction - I mean ever.
Here's how the conversation went. I get a hold of AAA ALL-STAR DISCOUNT AUTO TRANSPORTERS - Paul Baldwin at about 4 pm in the afternoon. He tells me of the price increase and says he is sending the contract for shipping with the increased price, and he needs me to fax it back by the end of the day (about an hour). I tell him I can't do it until later when I get home. After a tense / rude discussion on pricing he tells me to go to a library, hotel, business center and get the form back. Never asked me if I even had access to my personal e-mail (answer is "no", of course). He was insistent I send it immediately - he never wanted to listen to my comments / questions. I finally asked if we could find another shipper who would ship for the original price. He shouts there are no other shippers, and to return the contract. So I told him I couldn't get the fax back to him, I wouldn't pay the increased price, and asked for a refund of my deposit. He shouts there aren't any refunds. The entire conversation was loud, obnoxious, rude, disrespectful, and grossly unprofessional. You really can't understand how bad it was. That ended the conversation.
Paul Baldwin, AAA ALL-STAR DISCOUNT AUTO TRANSPORTERS, called me back about 15-20 minutes after the abusive phone call and said I could send the contract later that night. I chose not to do so. I wrote a very polite message to Lisa Cooper of AAA ALL-STAR DISCOUNT AUTO TRANSPORTERS and asked for a refund. I called in the morning and she restated the great deal I was getting and told me they wouldn't refund the $199 deposit - that was for them and the work they did for finding a shipper. I reconsidered for about 15 minutes and realized there was no way I could continue with a company like AAA ALL-STAR DISCOUNT AUTO TRANSPORTERS unless they honored the original pricing.
I should have done my homework on AAA ALL-STAR DISCOUNT AUTO TRANSPORTERS on this site. The other reviews speak for themselves. The BBB of Los Angeles rates this company an "F".
Here is a quote from the BBB page - beware!!
Most complainants generally allege failure to honor quotes and failure to notify customer's that initial deposits are not deducted from actual cost of transport; cusotmer's must pay a separate company for the transportation. Many customers complain the company fails to find a carrier in a timely manner which causes delays in pick up and delivery; once a carrier is found the initial price quoted increases by hundreds of dollars. Some complaints allege the company fails to refund deposits after cancellation and failure to return phone calls. (more)

Well thank you for all of you who put your comments here about this AAA shipping company. I got an email form them and the quote was too good to be true. So I called them first time some guy put me on hold for 15 minutes. I hung up the phone and called again and I assume this Paul guy answered the phone, he asked me the quote # which I gave hi m and try to ask him about the price that the price they quoted me was correct. Anyhow, he said if i want to place my order, I told him that i want o ask you few questions first. He simply said that I should place my order first. When he insisted that I should place a pick up of my car order and I simply told him that seems like you do not want to do business. At this point him response was no "I do not want you business" and he hang up his phone. Please be careful from this

This Paul Baldwin character gave me a 399 price and emailed a contract for me to sign. Said he needs half down and I pay the other half to the driver. Days go by, I email questions, no responses. Concerned, I read his reviews. I became worried. Low and behold his reviews came to light on me. He calls and says its going to be 200 more. I simply question this and state that his reviews say this about him. Holy cow, this Paul guy went freaking nuts. He began screaming at me and insulting me. Screaming things like since you're so smart and use your brain. I couldn't beleive my ears. He treated me worse than dog CRAP. I'm glad I'm on the opposite side of the country. I feel for him because one day he's going to do this to the wrong man. He screamed that he will send a new contract that I WILL sign or I won't get my car. Then he hung up on me. I am currently disputing charges for the 200 he stole from me. This man is a dangerous crook. Stay away and don't beleive any of the crap that they rebuttal on here. Unfortunately, I didn't find these reviews first. Hopefully you do. Btw, I called another company. My car was on a truck in two hrs. They were very friendly and the price was real. Mr. Baldwin, you are only hurting yourself. (more)

You guys are really a piece of work. After these people just got done Reporting to transport Reviews to have my last post removed and say that they didn't even know me but somehow know me when my post gets put back up. Are now trying to say that i refused
service? They never called and said they had a driver on the way they called and said they could get someone out for a extra $500.Now because i refuse to pay $500 that means i refuse service. Please show me something i signed or made a statement where i said i canceled??? These people are truly the biggest bunch of bull I have ever seen. As far as happy valley being a small town this is not true. Happy Valley is Portland OR Look it up on a map! And Portland is not that small and does alot of business. So i now have took my business to www.autotransportaat.com. Great people they treat you with respect, they have a tracking on your car so you can keep tabs on it, i placed my order on Friday the 10th my van was picked up on Monday the 13th and will be here Thursday. Also the people at www.autotransportaat.com helped me locate all their info. I cannot stress enough DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY!!!! What these people do is quote you a low price take your deposit and then when you start asking about your
vehicle they treat you like crap ( and i mean name calling and hanging up in your face no joke read all the other post below) and then when you ask about a refund they say no and cancel your order and dont answer their phone to you anymore. I posted my last post below and their response so you can see what these people said. I'm in the process of taking these people to court. Not only do they not have any proof of what they said like me canceling my order but they also don't have anything i signed saying i dont
get a refund. They just took my money and ran and any attorney can prove that in court. Also I have statements from alot of others i have been compiling on here (more)

So the funniest thing happened to me with this company. I get a call from a guy named Paul regarding my inquiry for a 2011 Porsche transported from AZ to TX. Anyway, Paul gives me a quote of $399 WTF? I was shocked because every one else was about 650 +... So I laughed and asked him to confirm the price and he did. Then I asked him what was the catch? He didn't respond so I asked him how long his company had been in business and Paul hung up on me. I was confused and figured my cell had dropped the call so I called him back and he told me...and I quote... "its best if you take your business elsewhere" and hung up on me. I didn't know if I should laugh or be amazed that I had busted someone's fraudulent scheme. Then I checked their rating and OH..BOY!!! ALL I CAN SAY IS THANK GOD FOR "FREEDOM OF SPEECH".. (more)

: Do Not Use This Company!
DO NOT USE THIS AUTO SHIPPING COMPANY!! This is the most unprofessional company I have ever done business with. Paul Baldwin who is the owner of this company is the rudest, most insulting, slimiest individual. You will see this if you review comments on this site as well as on BBB which they have a rating of an F! Not surprising. I should have done more research on them. I learned my lesson so use my experience and DO NOT use them!!!
Paul is a also a thief who took my $199.00 deposit plus double billed my credit card and still has not provided me a credit. I have filed a complaint with my bank and with BBB. They quote you the lowest price but then what happens is no carriers want to pick up your car because the COD is too low so it sits on the carrier list for weeks and he makes off with your deposit.
When trying to get an update from him, he hung on me at least 4 times, called me names, said I don't understand this business which like most people that are shipping their personal cars don't.
Now Paul will probably reply to this posting and say that I double booked which I did not. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but he could not fulfill. When I called to cancel when he could not provide me an update on my shipping date or when I would get picked up, he said well I just found a courier for you which is complete BS. He said fine, I am keeping your deposit and hung up on me again. BTW - No other shipper will keep your deposit if you cancel.
I ended up paying a little more but got a company that took care of my shipping needs and was very professional. I am going to be filing complaints against this AAA Discount Auto Transport in every on-line posting that I can find. (more)

: FRAUDULENT COMPANY - NEED TO REPORT
THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY THERE IS FOR TRANSPORTATION.. wait.. just worst company THERE IS! They are not only fraudulent, but sneaky, suspicious, rude liars. Paul, oh good old Paul, is a jerk who stole our deposit, and we called him for 6 days straight wondering when they were going to pick up our car. Not only did he never call us back, I know he NEVER INTENDED TO SHIP OUR CAR. We called from a different number, and what do you know!.. he answered.
Conversation follows:
Me: Hello, Paul?
Paul: Yes.
Me: Hi, this is "my name".. I've been trying to call you for 6 days.
Paul: Oh how weird (sarcastic tone). Where have we been?
Me: I don't know. You picked up the first time from a different number.
Paul: That's nuts. (sarcastic tone)
Me: Yeah, I'll be asking for a refund for our deposit. You never intended to perform the services.
Paul: No refunds.
Me: My bank will dispute it and get it back.
Paul: Yeah too bad you'll LOSE! Bye bye!
No joke that was the conversation and no joke this is a fraudulent company. If any one knows how to get this company TO BE SHUT DOWN please let me know. (more)

: Did not fulfill their obligations and would not return desposit
This is surely no 4 Star establishment and is only a SCAM operation that get your deposit and never fulfill their obligation and think that you are going to allow them to rip you off of $199. AAA Discount is a scandalous organization and the state of California should take away their business license. I got a quote of $799 to move my vehicle. I was told that it would take 1 to 5 days before they picked it up. After waiting nearly two weeks, the car was still not picked up. I put down a down-payment of $199 and was to provide the additional $600 after the car was picked up and delivered. After countless phone calls and never once did they ever return my phone call as promised. I sent several emails and all I got back was oh, we still looking for a truck to pick it up. Finally, after nearly two weeks, I realize that this company had no plans on fulfilling their obligation and they had breach their contract. I told them that if they were not able to fulfill their obligation, that I will just take my business elsewhere. When I requested my deposit of $199 to be returned to me. They said that they would not return it. This is when I realize that this was a SCAM from the very beginning. I work for the Department of Commerce Federal Government in Washington DC and I am going to contact the State Attorney office in California concerning these people. I do not know how they run things in California, but if I have to contact the Governor office and every government agency in Califorinia, I plan to do so until my money is returned. (more)

: Fraudulant company!!! Avoid
Paid deposit on April 9 2010 to get my car shipped on May 4 2010. Called them end of April to make sure everything was ok, they told me "Its not May 4 yet". Called and emailed May 7 to cancel, I needed the car shipped. They called me back (I have voicemail) to say they had a truck for Monday morning. I called Monday afternoon, Paul Baldwin denied talking to me (even though I have him in my voicemail) and said there was no truck. I contracted with another company and they picked up the truck Tuesday morning May 11. AAA called and accused me of double booking, which I agreed with, I had to get the car shipped so I used someone else and got it done in 2 hours. The company that shipped it told me that AAA bid way to low and that no one would take the car for that price. I had him bid higher and it was taken in 2 hours. AAA never contacted me about my bid except for Friday May 7 to say they had a truck for me monday which never happened. Again, I have the voicemail to prove AAA did call and promise a truck monday, when this did not happened I had to use someone else to get the car moved. They were ery rude, called me flaky and accused me of not knowing the business. That is true, I do not know the business, I gave them a month to get my car shipped and they could not do it Company is a total fraud, Go to BBB to research (more)
