: It was very fast and painless
This was the second time I have worked with Capt. Mark and Honest Auto Movers to have a vehicle shipped, the first time being just over (4) years ago. It was very fast and painless. Capt. Mark found a bidder on the job within a day of being contracted, and the vehicle was picked up the day after that. Delivery to my property at that point was driver-dependent, but even that was reasonably fast, arriving a couple days later. Getting a vehicle shipped can seem like a daunting task, and it is not especially cheap, but cumulatively WAY cheaper than driving 1,200 miles yourself to pick up a vehicle you have bought when you tab up the expenses (think trailer rental/fuel/hotel/meals, etc.). Do yourself a favor and contact Capt. Mark at Honest Auto Movers! (more)

Thank you so much Captain Mark! Got me the best deal and was so kind and easy to work with. Extremely responsive. Car was picked up Memorial Day in Denver and dropped off in Cincinnati the following Saturday. Car was in perfect condition.

Captain Mark is the best! I recently made my first car purchase on eBay, the seller recommended Honest Auto Movers so I figured I had give him a try. The whole experience, from start to finish was exceptional. Reasonable price and I had my car in two days, from Pennsylvania to Maine. I will definitely get in touch with him again! (more)

Was quoted a price of $625.COD. After vehicle was picked up, Captain Mark demanded that I wire $725 into his bank immediately or he would impound my car at a price of #30.00 per day. This deal cost me $925 to get my car after I had to work a deal with the Impound yard to retrieve it. Captain Mark is not fit to deal with.... (more)

Honest Auto Movers are the best!!! They did everything with amazingly low prices and paid the first driver I never saw unlike all the others. After having this order with 3 other carriers and brokers for 2 months, Honest Auto Movers handled both legs of the difficult move in 3 minutes!!! (more)

I have never had a vehicle shipped before, so when I needed to ship a large van from Grand Junction, CO to The Dalles, OR (a pretty off the beaten path route) I requested a quote from a big ticket auto transporter on the internet which was a mistake. After getting about 20 email bids and calls (all promising that they were the best and I would get screwed if I didn't use just them) I called a neighbor who is a long haul trucker (more)

: Captian Mark is a Captian Crook
Captain Mark is a crook. I paid him to coordinate shipping for my 1958 Oldsmobile from Lakeland, Florida to Atlanta, Georgia. A very popular route, and a very easy load, as the car is not a show car and it drives fine. The only time that car was available for pick-up was on the weekend and he assured me that he could do it and make it happen within two weeks. I had to wait nearly two months for my car to get shipped. Every time I called Mark he would assure me that he is taking care of it and that it would be delivered that following Monday. That Monday would come, and I would call the gentleman that I purchased the car from and he would inform me that the car is still sitting in his driveway. I even called Mark to confirm that the car would be picked-up every weekend and while he would pick up the phone on the weekend, like I said earlier he would say that everything is planned and that he has even confirmed with both the transport driver and the gentleman I purchased the car from. But when I called them, both the transport driver and the gentleman I purchased the car from did not have any notice from Mark. I actually called several transport drivers that Mark had told me were specifically scheduled to pick up my car on specific weekends and they all didn’t have a clue who I was, what car they were picking up and where to pick it up at. Mark does not care about his customers, he thinks that if he makes one phone call or two he has completed his job even though the car has not been shipped. I eventually had to threaten him to give me the name and number of a reliable transport driver that drives that route. I had to coordinated everything myself with the transport driver and who I purchased my car from, basically I had to do what I had paid Mark to do. Trying to get my money back from Mark has been a living hell. He claims he has done his job since the car has been delivered, even though he didn’t do anything and it was I that did all of the work. Oh, when the car finally got delivered, apparently Mark had called the transport driver and told him a different shipping price that was $50 higher than I had originally expected. I couldn’t blame the driver because that was what he was expecting when he decided to take to job and Mark had just flat out lied. If you are reading this review, I would highly recommend that you do not do any business with Captain Mark and Honest Auto movers, because Mark is anything but honest. And he will more than likely get on here and post a response that lies about me and I will not be able to defend myself since I will never get back on this reviewing website, There are thousands of other auto transport brokers that are truley honest, so dont take a chance on Captian Mark and Honest Auto Movers. : You have to read this to believe it
I wanted to move my car from Chicago to PA. So, I contacted Capt Mark through a referral. He sounded very knowledgable. I was impressed; even referred a friend of mine to him the next day. Anyway, he told me his procedures and explained that only a small percentage of his moves don't go as planned. He explained to me what would happen if a problem with the move cropped up. Basically, he said I would take my car to a dealership and that the vehicle will be picked up there.
He set me up with a mover to pick up my car on 6/27/11 but unfortunately, the mover had an accident so Mark had to scramble to get me somebody else. I was flying out on 6/29 so I needed firm plans for my car by COB on 6/28. On 6/28, it looked like we would not find a mover so Mark told me to take my car to a dealership. He then added that I should get an oil change or a tire rotation. I was kind of surprised and I told him that I did not want to get any work done on my car. I just wanted the vehicle moved.
This was when Mark started yelling at me. He started saying that I am inconsiderate and that he is sure I don't tip because of my cultural background (my parents are african but i was born here and i have lived here for 15 years...i still have a slight accent though). He said that he would add $100 to my bill because our 5 minute conversation was costing him money. I was so surprised. This guy certainly had no right to disparage my race or my culture. I insisted on not fixing my car. He then said that he was sure that my car needed something done. In the end, he told me to tip the guy at the dealership $20. I actually agreed to do that.
30 mins later, Mark called back, scrapped the plans for the dealership and told me that another mover was available to take my car on 6/28. The mover indeed came, took my car and transported it on time.
You would think the story would end here right? Apparently not. On 6/30, I wrote about my experience on another site. The next morning, I received an email from this site's administrator. Apparently, Capt Mark told Admin that he did not know me and that I was never his customer. So, Admin asked me to send evidence of a transaction (i just did that not long ago).
Meanwhile Capt Mark emailed me this morning (after reading my review) and just went crazy on me. I promise you, I am not exaggerating. Mark said that he knew people and that he would make my life hell. He told me that I should be appreciative of what he did for me. He told me that he aced his LSATs (don't know why that info is even relevant). He promised to talk about me on facebook, twitter and other social media sites. He said he would 'put his guys on it' (not sure what that means. He said that his mother, Sara Morin runs the LAW Law journal and the NY Law journal (again, not sure why that should scare me). Apparently, he also wants me to apologize to him for 'offending him by not appreciating [his] great efforts' (his words, not mine).
I think I have a right to discuss my experience with this guy. That is why I am doing this. I also want to warn others thinking of dealin with Mark about who they are dealing with.
Thank you for your time. (more)
