: Cannot Go Wrong With Richard S.
I had 5 cars I had to ship for a client out of Sacramento and also Los Angeles. Richard S. at Total Car Shipping was one of the best I have worked with over the years when it comes to shipping vehicles. He took his time to explain to me the cost and timeframes. Due to hold ups on my end, I had to reschedule one of the pickups in Los Angeles several times and Richard was patient and understanding and worked diligently to be sure all cars were shipped on time and by a reputable and highly rated company. I will only work with him when it comes to shipping cars again in the future. When it comes to moving and shipping cars it can be incredibly frustrating, but Richard does all the leg work and takes the stress away. I cannot recommend Richard enough! (more)

Karma Auto Transport transported my vehicle from Chicago to Miami. One of my friends told me about their services and their professionalism. I went to their website in order to get a quote and I was very impressed. Their prices are lower than most of the other companies I called. Their website was very easy to use and I booked my order online in less than five minutes. The process was very straight forward and after I booked my order I received an e-mail conformation. After booking the order, I received a phone call from them. We talked about the best pick up date for me, and they were even able to pick up the vehicle at a time that works perfect with my schedule. My vehicle was picked up and delivered on time and the driver very friendly. He delivered the vehicle to Miami in 3 days, which was very impressive! This company is very irresponable. My daughter hired them to ship her car to California from Texas and it got stolen off the truck. How can a car get stolen off the trailer if it is secure? This was an inside job. So if you want to keep your car, do not use this company. They are crooks.

Cliff H Started my order. it took him 3 days to find a driver to pick up my truck and he screwed the ordered up multiple times. from the destination to the vehicle type. Then because of weight they price goes from $875 to $1125. order was placed as we agreed on the weight surcharge. 8 HOURS BEFORE THE DELIVERY THEY DEMAND $1500. CHOOSE TOTAL CAR SHIPPING AND CLIFF FOR A ROYAL RIP OFF!!!!! (more)

Seriously, Billy is my new BFF!! I was having such a tough time without my car and in the whole process of getting my car back , there wasn't one person, in all the 200 companies I had to deal, with who helped me the way Billy did. He assured me he would do his best to help me and he went above and beyond to make sure he never went back on his word. Billy was professional and attentive from beginning to end and I KNOW no one else would have done what he did to help me. If everyone else at TCS is as great as Billy no need to look any further. This company provided me with the best service I have ever received, Once George spoke to me the first time I could tell he knew what he was doing, he spoke to me with respect and made sure I had the time to properly speak with him, unlike others who would not let e off the phone. George asked me for a good time to call and he called me then - when I did have time to set everything up.
The original price George sent me by email was 650.00 but after speaking with him he took it down to 595.00 which was great - he didn't have to. I am very pleased with this companies actions including price, schedule and just their business ethics in general. Thank you very much George and total car shipping. - Miguel (more)

I would like to thank billy due to his constant followups and helping me out on a personal level. I felt that he committed to my order as business SHOULD. I did not have the need to talk to multiple persons to get what I needed. He was always there to answer questions and grab anything I needed. No talking to this person for this and that person for that! That's the best part of my transaction.
I feel that this is the way a business should be ran as that was very effective and caused no delays or confusion. (more)

Cliff was very helpful getting my Corvette to Baltimore, he was very helpful and always there when I needed to speak with him. Th driver had a very nice trailer and was extremely professional. I was nervous as he loaded but did it like nothing and assured me the safety of my vehicle. : Still great experience 3rd shipment
This company is an A and 5 stars WORTHY! I last shipped my Mustang 2 weeks ago and my transaction went great, this is the third time I have transported a vehicle through this company and not once I had an issue. I have been working with Stan and he is outstanding, I even have his cell saved in my phone which he gave me to assure me the best of service and 24/7 customer support with him - my agent. I do not know of any other company that would do something like that and it feels good to know that i can get an update when i need it. (Of course I do not bother him though :).... ) I have chosen to leave this review here on yelp because I see that they are under 5 stars on this site and 5 star everywhere else which is correct. I would just like to point out that nationwide has shipped my car for a decent price but in PERFECT timing... I spoke to Gabe, he was very friendly and helpful, I would ask for him if called... So i was moving and I lost about 2 weeks with another company.. The moment I called Nationwide and explained them my situation they instantly surprised me with the knowledge that was lacked with the previous company! (I will not name previous company) ..... The driver called me a few hours prior to pick up and delivery witch was not asked but obviously needed and I'm glad he did.. Very professional a well... I have another vehicle to be shipped next month and Nationwide transport services will be the company for me!! Thank you Gabe! (more)

My experience with Total car was far from excellent, I received a lot of follow ups This is the second time i have used them, and both times were amazingly easy. I move more than I should for my job, but now i'm staying for good and will hopefully not need them anymore. BUT if I ever do move again...i would go to them! EASIEST move, hands down. I had my car shipped 6 times( including the 2 times I've shipped my car with TCS) and I finally found a company I can work with (more)

In all honesty, I have never before written a review, good or bad, for any company, for any purpose. Still, the absolutely horrible service I recently received from Total Car Shipping was so deplorable, that I will also be reporting them to the BBB.
The sum total of my experience was this:
Moving from the East to West Coast, I put out an online query for car carriers and was emailed by my first Total Car Shipping (TCS) agent, JC. I read the reviews and in spite of those mixed ones, decided to take a chance and I gave JC a call. He was congenial and a real smooth-talker who came across more friendly than professional, but I assumed this was simply part of his sales charisma. I provided him with my personal information and he sent me a contract via email to proofread, sign and return. His errors were numerous, including my address and phone number, and so I corrected these in my response to him.
Approximately a week later, he emailed me that he’d found a carrier and that my fee ($200.00) to him and TCS would now be charged to my credit card. He provided me with an email to the car carrier, along with their contact information and a pick-up date.
As it turns out, the contact information that I corrected was never changed by JC and the date for pick-up that was provided to me was also incorrect. As it turns out, they attempted to contact him when they discovered the error in my phone number, but he did not respond to them and did not reach out to me through email. They came three days earlier than I was told they would (the day following Thanksgiving while I was still away for the holiday) and again, they tried contacting him after getting no answer from my incorrect phone number (provided to them by him). Once again, he did not reply.
On Saturday, having returned home, I reached out to JC through voice message and email to ensure things were aligned properly for what was supposed to be a Monday morning pick-up, but got no response (and still have not to this day, weeks later). I did manage to catch him on his cell phone at one point, but he was too engulfed in his own stuff going on to handle anything I had to say and immediately pushed me off to other agents in the office.
The first agent I spoke to was entirely apologetic for JC's typographical error and the inconvenience that it had caused me and noted that he'd get back to me within the hour. I allowed two days for him to resolve the scheduling mishap before calling him back. I got no reply, but left a message. Eventually, another agent, Cheri, assured me that she would be taking care of my shipment because JC would be “out of the office.” She contacted me on Wednesday and once again, she was incredible sweet sounding and apologetic; that too, turned out to be more words than actions.
I explained to Cheri that I had been working on this vehicle shipment for weeks and that I only had two-days left before my one-way flight to the West Coast and that I would have to leave my car behind if a pick-up could not be rescheduled in the short time I had remaining. Again, I was assured she would handle it and get back to me promptly. And so, once again I waited 48-hours, until the Friday before my Saturday flight to allow TCS to get their ducks in a row and to find me a carrier. I was not called back and had to take the initiative to call them once again, in my final hours of desperation. Numerous unanswered calls and voicemails later (and for the record, they have caller ID there, because she DID answer the phone to address me by name and so when you THINK they are busy, they are ACTUALLY just ignoring your call) she finally picked up and advised me how I could prepare my vehicle and leave it at a friend's residence for pick-up the following week (after I'd boarded my flight and left MA).
Needless to say, I did as I was advised, continuing to put more stake in the goodness of a company that has no soul at all. I have been in CA for 9-days now and have reached out to TCS through pleading emails and unanswered phone calls to get them to make good on our agreement and reunite me with my car, but to no avail, and all the while maintaining absolute calm and composure, even as I write this review.
I don't fly off the handle. I do not overreact. And I do not write unjustified reviews because I understand how damaging they can be. Still, I only hope that the drain this experience has put on me can be a drain on this company when you hear my words and take your business elsewhere. You will thank me for steering you in any other direction you have at your disposal. Corrupt and inconsiderate: that’s the Total Car Shipping way.
***Additionally, I would like to add that now, 20-minutes after posting this review, I have finally received a call back from JC and TCS. I'll spare you the added, run-around excuses I received, but if that doesn't speak volumes in and of itself about their priorities - on image and cash-flow as opposed to providing caring, committed service - than what does
The one redeeming part of it all was that I was finally able to officially cancel my order with Total Car Shipping today. (more)

Worst experience! From start to finish this company has been painful to deal with. We were moving across country and called to set up our car shipping about 2 months in advance when we knew the dates of the move. We talked to John at Total Car Shipping and were given a price for the shipment of the one car. Less important but still noted is the fact that he had kids screaming and crying in the background during the entire call. Since he was a broker he still had to find the driver and get the shipment set up. He guaranteed us the price would not exceed a specific amount. He said he would be in contact once he had more details. After a month of not hearing anything we called back to see what progress had been made. He said he didn’t have any information and had not set up the shipment at that point. Since it was 2 weeks prior to the date we needed to move we were anxious to get the details worked out and were again assured that we would have it all set up in time. 3 days before the move we had still not heard anything and called to see what was going on. We were then told he was working on it that day and would call us back. Late that night he called and said he found someone to do it but it would cost us $50.00 more dollars than he had originally said but it was the only one he could find to meet the dates we needed. After going back and forth we decided to pay the extra because we had no time left to set something else up and needed the dates to be kept.
The car shipping company (MidWest Auto Movers) came as agreed to pick up the car on Saturday August 27th. We were told the car would be delivered to us in Arizona on Friday September 2nd. When we arrived on Thursday the day before we went to the bank to get the money order for the next day. We heard nothing the next day or the following day. We called and left several messages and got a call back on Sunday. The driver said he was in town on Thursday and we weren’t here so he couldn’t drop the car off. We explained that we were in fact in town and he should have called. He said well he assumed we weren’t here since our delivery date was Friday and now he wouldn’t be able to have it to us until Tuesday September 6th. To make a long story short it is now September 13th and this company has had my car for 2 and half weeks and has not kept one commitment they have made to us. Not to mention throughout this entire ordeal and inconvenience for us having two small kids and trying to move into a new house they have been rude each time we talk to them…..when we actually get a call back which is rare. : Car missing and no communication
Car picked up in NYC on June 17th. Due to arrive in California 7 - 10 days later. I was contacted on June 25th and told the car would be delivered on June 27th. I waited all day but the car never arrived. I made another call and was told the car would arrive on the 29th. Again, I waited all day but the car never arrived.
I've been on hold for 45 minutes now, trying to get through. While on hold, you have to hit '3' every minute or so or you get cut off. They clearly don't want you to contact them - they've got their $200 commission and customer care in non-existent.
It's now been 13 days and counting. Two more days and I will have to report the car as missing.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Zero professionalism. Zero customer care and ZERO COURTESY. (more)

: Order cancelled at LAST MINUTE
Order was confirmed for 3 vehicles on May 16, 2011, for a pickup on June 7 or 8. Not hearing from the company, I called this week to confirm the pickup only to be told to "call back". This morning, June 8, after many attempts to reach the company, I received an email CANCELLING my order. Now I am back to square one in trying to find a company to move vehicles cross country in less than a week. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! (more)

Overall my knowledge with this company was very good. What made this process so pleasant and easy and effortless was my customer service salesperson Maria. She was enormous! I believe she really cared about my situation; she made it very clear that I could call her if I ever had any questions or concerns (which I did far too often b/c I had no thought what I was doing). And she couldn't have been friendlier! She always took the time for me and called me back very punctually if she didn't know something off hand (which hardly ever happened).
