Palmer Moving & Storage - Review

I used Palmer Moving & Storage to move everything in a storage unit to my new house approx. 10 miles away. The items were all still packaged and boxed from my previous out-of-state move. The estimate went very smoothly. The moving representative met me at my storage unit to see what I had and I was able to reserve the Saturday that I wanted for the move. The move itself went fine, until the movers dropped one of my custom-made Amish dining chairs and one of the legs split in two. The movers were very apologetic and gave me the contact information for the claims department to be reimbursed for the cost of the chair. Nearly 3 months later, I still have not been compensated for the broken chair. I have been given the run-around, I have had to submit my claim and documentation twice, and have had to contact Palmer multiple times to see what the status of the claim is. I am not pleased and would not recommend Palmer to anyone.  (more)

They stored our furniture and moved us 1500 miles. When we unpacked, I called to ask how much time I had to submit an insurance claim. They told me 6 months. When I submitted a claim I was told I was too late. They lost about 5 pieces and damaged more to the tune of $3500. I wrote the owner and was told it was my fault for not submitting on time. I would not trust the guys.  (more)
