Subject : EXCELLENT SERVICE FROM START TO FINISH!

U First Auto Transport exceeded all my expectations!!! I initially had my transport scheduled with a different company whose customer service was awful. I contacted U First Auto in a bit of a bind and they immediately responded, found a truck to handle the transport and traveled across country in 3 days and had the vehicle to my son in less time that I ever expected!!!! GREAT customer service, honest, price quoted, price charged, felt safe and secure with trucking company TEMO Transportation whose drivers were wonderful, friendly, and explained everything. In a time of great reluctance, nervousness, and apprehension, U First put all my worries at rest with their excellent care and customer service. I would use them again in heartbeat! Although, I dont plan to ship a car to CA again ... I hope :) Thanks again!  (more)

I was extremely satisfied with the service I received from this company. Don was very professional and returned calls very promptly. The transport carrier that picked up my car delivered it a day earlier than anticipated. One thing that I really liked was the simplicity of the process. I did not have to go online and fill out complicated forms. I was sent one page to sign and fax back. As a 70 year old the simplification of the process was very important to me. The price of the transport was reasonable and I was overall extremely satisfied.  (more)

Subject : very professional and friendly

I found Ufirst auto transport online and called the number and spoke to Don Tackett. He was really very polite and very professional and gave me a really decent quote. I had bought a 1964 VW beetle based kit car that was not running, in Virginia. He got my car picked up and delivered within the week to North Carolina, and the shippers that he chose were very professional and polite as well. The two drivers even helped me push the car up my hundred+ foot driveway and into my garage from the truck. Very impressed with the service and the promptness and anytime I called to get an update Don picked the phone up on the second ring. I even got status updates with Photos when they picked up the car. This made me very happy. You are in good hands with this transporter.  (more)

Subject : Reputable Company- Highly Recommend

I was referred to this company by a friend of mine. I’m glad I gave them a try. Christina and Don were great. They offered me the best price and trust me I shopped around. My car was picked up and dropped off seamlessly, I’m thrilled with UFirst and would use them again.  (more)

Subject : Use someone else!

We were given a quote to pick up our vehicle that is being held at the auto repair shop we happen to break down at. During the process we were told by Don that they could have it picked up/delivered by 3/10. The car was never picked up. He finally returned our calls on 3/14 stating that the driver was a no show and they found another driver and the cost was an additional $50. After giving additional fees the car was to be delivered by noon today. It still has not been delivered. Choose another freight company!  (more)

Subject : buyer beware

I hired UFirst auto transport to deliver my fully restored antique 1954 chevy truck from Florida to New Jersey. I was quoted $595 for the shipping. UFirst then sub contracted to Next Step Auto, Inc. The vehicle was picked up on October 7, 2014 and delivered to me on October 9, 2014. The truck had been moved in and out during the trip to accommodate the other vehicles. Upon arrival at my home on October 9, 2014, the driver removed the tie down straps that secured the vehicle and drove the vehicle off the enclosed truck. Upon inspection, the roof was found dented and scratched. The driver for Next Step apologized and provided me with a detailed report acknowledging that they damaged the vehicle during the move. The next day I contacted UFirst to advise them of the situation and I drove the truck to a repair shop to get a quote. The paint on the truck is a 3 part diamond pearl white and the repair estimate amounted to $2,440.14. I received 2 other quotes all within the same estimate. When I supplied this estimate to Next Step the owner became agitated and began to dispute the estimate. I told him to call the body shop himself. He never did. U First then gave me his insurance information. I filled out all the necessary claim information and submitted to OOIDA Risk Retention. After one month , my claim was denied because during the interview the driver claimed he was negligent and did not secure the vehicle. There is a loop hole in the insurance that it only covers accidents and fire not driver negligence. Anyhow, I am now stuck with $2,440.14 in repairs and have turned it over to my own insurance who will most likely have to subrogate. Be careful choosing a carrier and ask for a copy of their insurance policy so that you don’t get stuck like me.  (more)

Subject : unprofessional and rude

Just before 3pm PST Monday Feb 18th, 2013, I called and spoke to one of your representatives. I apologize, but did not catch his name. As we were completing my order (which would be executed over a month from now), I asked about your cancellation policy. Your representative told me that he "did not want to waste his time unless this was a 100% opportunity." I am planning a move over a month in advance and things may change. When I said that was a possibility and that I thought he was behaving rudely, he reiterated that he did not want to waste his time, then said i wish you the best and hung up. While I was once feeling strongly about using your company - I now have a very poor taste in my mouth over this experience and am completely rethinking my using your company for this trip. I do not feel that it is good business practice to tell people they aren't worth your time for simply asking about your cancellation policy. What sort of ethic does this reflect? I hope that in the future you are able to handle situations such as this more gracefully than your company has today. Answer: You didn't just ask about the cancellation policy. If you did we would have no problem working on this transport for you and answer your questions. You said I am not sure if I fully want to use your company but I still want you to work on my transport. Why would we put our resources to work for a client if they are not fully committed in using our services? If you would have just stated, what if I decided not to move or my future job plans could change then things would have been different but you said I might want a different company to ship my vehicle. That is what sparked the conversation between us. So many people do double book or switch companies and we have to eliminate any risk, so our energy can be fully commented to the clients that are serious. Then you mocked my ethics, Miss this is the shipping industry and we don't work for free. If your looking to book with multiple companies we are not interested. This is not that industry were the customer is first and writing an email wont change anything. I own this business. My response: I not sure that I see what the value of double booking is and that was not my intention. You immediately assumed that's where I was going. I actually felt so on the defensive when you accused me of it, that I immediately made up a scenario where I might need to cancel for that reason. I am sorry that you have such a bitter attitude and assume the worst. I am quite confident that had you not behaved as you did that you would have has my business. Now you absolutely will not and I will be sure to relay your company's attitude to anyone willing to listen and to read this email interaction. It may be your company and your prerogative to behave this way, but its poor business practice. Try being less abrasive with potential clientele and you may find less people double booking or going else where.  (more)

Subject : Don't Fall for this SCAM

UFirst has some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Save yourself $100 and book directly with a transport company because they are just brokers. Don't believe it when they say door to door because it's a lie, I had to drive my car over 100 miles to be picked up. Book direct with a transport company to save yourself the money and the headache, worst company ever you should avoid UFirst at all costs.  (more)

Subject : Misleading Quote

I was originally quoted at $1275. I was contacted many times and given great customer service. Then they got my credit card information. Zippo. A week later i had to call them to get an update. Nothing. Two days later, they asked for $200 more to ship the vehicle as n "option". I declined as that was not what they quoted me at. Two weeks, Multiple phone cals, emails, and i finally hear back from them. We concluded our business on a sour note afetr they admitted they culd not ship my vehicle. i have now gone four weeks without my vehicle all due to a quote that was low enough to get me started, but not enough to actually ship the vehicle. Other companies will be forward and tell you that you will get a quote, and after a week or so they will call and ask for more money. Beleive it. keep your options open and keep surfing for shippers until your vehicle is on its way.  (more)
