: Excellent! Affordable and overall great experience!
I came across Great Nation Moving online- I was moving to Chicago from DC and was nervous about the cost given gas prices, etc. The experience was excellent from the first phone call, the customer service rep made me feel extremely comfortable, and gave me a quote immediately. The movers were on time, professional, and there was great communication. Excellent value and would use them again! (more)

Rose at Great Nation lied to me when I booked the move. Assured me my rate would not go up since they did an in home estimate. That was a lie. The payment process was also wildly unprofessional Most of our things arrived and we could make a claim for some damaged and missing but honestly its not worth the effort with this clown outfit. I am confident it would be an effort in futility. Do not recommend. (more)

Where do I even begin? They were more than a full day late for pick-up. Delivery was supposed to be on Sunday or Monday but came Wednesday. They nearly doubled the amount after they had my stuff not because it weighed more (which is understandable) but because they had told me things like bubble wrap, packing tape, etc were "included" and they aren't. In addition, they put $30 or so worth of wrapping around EVERYTHING that could be construed as furniture, including an office chair that was ripped up and only worth about $15. They also took my floor lamp and put it in a box that I had to pay for. They had told me my 45 records (more)

: A reliable company
My entire experience in the past with movers was horrible, they always came late, charge me more for the job and many other issues, this time I did a very good research on line read many reviews and even found friends as referrals, I selected Great nation Van lines based on all this information and this time my move was smooth, stress free and i ended up paying exactly what my estimate was for. Moving is stressful enough on its on so you need a reliable company like Great nation to reduce that to a minimum. (more)

Great Nation was refereed to me by colleague in my firm and I hire them for move from Washington DC to Brooklyn NY?
I have moved few times in the past and Great Nation Van Lines is one of the best I have used so far the few benefits I got from them(and i could not get from other companies) are: fast delivery in just 2 days without paying extra for it, designated moving truck small fee of $350, same moving crew in DC and NY.
Over all I am extremely happy with the service and will recommend to friends and family. (more)

: I was pleased with the service
I just moved from a studio in Maryland to a studio in Virginia. I was pleased with the service. David was very cool. The guys stayed on task, and gave me suggestions on my room layout. Most importantly, they were done in 3 hours. They were about 15 minutes late, but they called to let me know. As far as I can tell my furniture is in good shape. I saw a few stray marks, but nothing major. I have used two other moving companies in the past, and this was my best experience to date (more)
