Door-To-Door Auto Transport - Review

Well I donot know what to tell everyone. Called and a guy named J.R. (I believe) explained everything to me. I agreed and within a 24 hr period there was someone at my door picking up my BMW. He gave me very little notice and just kinda showed up but I was somewhat expecting that. The guy was ok...didnot speak English real well but whatever. I was quoted I needed to make payment in cash ($260) to the driver. Well, the driver told me $300 and would not leave unless I paid the total in full. I called J.R. and he answered and informed me that I was to pay the 300 and they would subtract the $40 from their broker fee. So all in all an ok deal. Just wished he would have told me a little sooner. In the end they did what they said at the price they quoted me (which was $100 less than the other guys)....The guy picked the car up headed out and and delivered the car in one piece. My customer was happy and I was happy. The reason they got 4* instead of 5* is for the confusion and slight lack of communication.  (more)

Our experience with this company was excellent From start to finish. My husband contacted many car hauling companies to try and find the right one for us to use. I have to be honest if I would have read the reviews prior to committing to them we probably would not have used them. However we are so glad we did Roy was very responsive and always available to answer our questions. Our car was picked up on Friday by Tony from Colorado Hauling. He was the best He contacted my husband to let him know when he would be here and then contacted him again to let him know he was close. The car was being sent to my son and Tony was in contact with him as well. Great communication and Great service Definitely 5 stars for the whole team that got our car from California to Colorado. Hired this company to assign me a driver for my upcoming move from NJ to TN. Upon seeing their abundance of negative reviews I was a little nervous and apprehensive of the process and results but I can easily say I am extremely satisfied. Mikela went above and beyond for me and was a pleasure to work with. The company they dispatched to me was called Jamhuri Auto LLC. The driver was on time, as well as very nice and accommodating. He set me at ease with any questions I had and was helpful with any requests I had. My car was promptly delivered to my new home only 2.5 days later which was perfect! I highly recommend giving this transport company a chance as not all of their reviews are bad and they were definitely one of the more affordable auto transport companies out there.  (more)

Did not contact on transportation date set, demanded I come to them at a Costco to drop off car had to get friend to help, lost 2 hours time. Upon delivery, driver demanded $400 cash to drop car, called the company (866) 802-7447 night of no call and night of delivery and never got call back. Luckily had drivers number so called him and he called them. Company called me and I told them they had already billed card and man on line just yelled at me and told me he would impound the car and sell it at the next auction. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE LIARS AND THIEVES  (more)

I would like to say thank you to (Roy) AND Door to Door Transport for such an excellent job during a very difficult time for them. Even though a hurricane evaction was going on for them (Roy) Door to Door kept there promise and shipped our car on time and in excellent shape upon arrival. on june 4th i sent a fax with all my info for my car to be picked up, which allen told me to do along with a deposit of 200.00. i was told my car would be picked up on the 5th of june then the story went to the 6th of june, one week later the car was never picked up. my call are being blocked allen will not take any calls what so ever ive tried to contact him on many other phone lines. what a shame to rip me off for 200.00 would think people would be smarter than that. i will see to it that the owner is found and prosecuted my dad is a attorney in las vegas and says their are countless claims pending on this so called company. its not the point of the money to me its just being ripped off and lied too. but like i said their will be something done to the company thats a fact....  (more)

Door to Door will tell you anything to get your money! The pickup in CA was to be delivered 6 days later in NC - too early for me to get there - so the delivery would be in GA in 6 days as I was passing through. No problem, said Kelly. The driver arrives and says he won't deliver to GA for 12 days - so I send him away. Who should I believe - the broker or the driver?! It took a week of constant calling and BS from Kelly to get my car picked up - Kelly said he would have the car delivered to NC for the same cost, since there had been so many problems. The car shows up 15 days later - and the bill is $200 more than the original NC quote! Do yourself a favor - stay clear of this company!  (more)

RIPED MY 19 YEAR SAILOR IN THE NAVY OFF FOR 250.00 AND NOW REFUSES TO RESPOND TO OUR REQUESTS FOR A REFUND EXCEPT TO THREATEN ME WITH DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER.HAH! This company is a "FRONT" and FRAUD. Mr Eugene Allen is DISHONEST and lies, provides FALSE pickup information and then gets offended when you call him on his own emails, quotes. He blocks phone numbers as soon as you send funds; He blocks emails once you are past the contracted "window" for pick up. Basically you have no way of contacting company, once funds are sent. MILITARY BEWARE ** this company PREYs on military with the Veterans statements and logos. He gives you "false" names of people to contact and numbers that don't exist. Mr Eugene Allen claims they have own trucks; reality is they use the National Bulletin Board just like 99% of other companies. They low ball the bid on Bulletin Board and keep the deposit for themselves - effectively making your vehicle movement unattractive to truckers. Three weeks after the contract dates expired, we were still getting automated emails saying, a "truck should be on its way to your location any day"... 17 days past the original 15 day window i switched companies (MAGIC CARPET) and had car across country in 5 days. This company has changed names (HAULAWAY, Your Car Movers Inc, Auto-Shipping-Transport) this is NOT the same as "Door to Door Transport" (that has 5 star ratings); this is Door to Door AUTO Transport. Company lists address in Las Vegas, NV; Legal contracts all have FLORIDA as company point of orgin; Phone numbers and email come out of CALIFORNIA with false ID. Email address is a spoof address. Company is a front - nothing ever moved with auto and deposit never returned (because the numbers he gives out for the financial department don't exist). Filed BBB complaints; Small Claims court proceedings and Legal complaints with Las Vegas and FBI (due to cross state domain) for this company. But before they can be LEGALLY put out of business wanted to WARN folks not to use them.  (more)

Door-To-Door Auto Transport is a fantastic choice and they seem to be especially selective of their carriers because even the carrier gave wonderful service. They stayed in contact with me even though it was the holidays and I received the car on time and in perfect shape. My vehicle arrived in excellent shape and was delivered to my residence. The customer service was outstanding and I am happy with the overall experience. I not only wholeheartedly recommend their service; I intend to use them again.  (more)
