FHT Auto Transport, Inc. - Review

I used a broker, Joe Gallo of Assurance Auto Transport to set me up with FHT. Joe was excellent and explained everything and FHT was excellent! I spoke to Susan the most at FHT and she is wonderful! When my car came off the truck it was exactly the same condition it left my house in NJ. I recommend FHT for your auto transport. I will be using them again in a few months when I head back to the east coast. Thanks for a non-stressful experience  (more)

Last week I moved from San Diego to N. Virginia and I thought I had make things easy on myself by shipping my car instead of driving it across the entire country. WRONG. The experience was a nightmare. I made it very clear from the start that I could not receive my car before a certain date, and that any communication would need to be via email because I was traveling internationally and would not have cell service. I was assured in writing that this would be no problem.Pick-up of the car was smooth and easy. I was feeling good about things. Except that they called to deliver my car two days early. Being out of the country, I missed this call. And they never emailed me anything. Then they decided to drop my car at a tow lot in a different state, instead of delivering it to my home like I had arranged. And the tow lot was closed all weekend. And the FHT office was closed. I learned all this when I landed on American soil after 20 hours of travel and was told that my car was in Maryland and that I had have to go pick it up on Monday. After some VERY angry conversations, the driver agreed to go back and pick up my car and he gave me a location where I could meet him to pick up the car. Not at all convenient, and not what I felt like doing after a long and strenuous trip. Especially since I had to race to a Walmart and get a money order, since they do not accept credit cards like legitimate businesses do. I am being gracious with the second star because I did get my car when I needed it, but it was an EXTREME hassle and inconvenience, and NOT the service I was promised when I scheduled. I would absolutely NOT ship another car with FHT. They are terribly unprofessional, the communication is terrible, and they do not keep their word. I have driven across the country twice with previous moves, and those experiences were both less stressful than dealing with FHT. Terrible, TERRIBLE experience.  (more)

I had absolutely no problem with FHT. I was terrified after reading the negative reviews but since my daughter had made all of the arrangements and was desperately in need of the car for her first day at her first post-college job, I had to send it off through FHT. However, everything went off without a hitch. The broker, dispatcher, and driver were all polite, easy to work with, and delivered as promised. There were no marks on the car or any type of damage, no extra miles on the odometer, nothing taken from the car, and the car came a day early which was a life-saver for her.  (more)

Rather than transporting it fully, they drove my car for 640 miles and failed to acknowledge so. Between NJ and CA, they added these miles and have been unwilling to provide us any paperwork to file a claims and are extremely UNHELPFUL. The owners are UNTRUSTWORTHY, HARD TO CONTACT, and UNPROFESSIONAL. Spend your money elsewhere.  (more)

It's my first time having my car shipped, I researched in online and I chose FHT Auto Transport to do business with. We had a great experience with them. The staffs at FHT were Very Courteous and Helpful and they provided very good customer service. The car was picked up late, but to my pleasant surprise, was delivered well before the anticipated date. Driver explained the situation very well. Thank you for your good work. I would definitely use FHT Auto Transport again, you guys are the best. Keep it up!!!  (more)

Amazing! No damage or dirt. I am very much satisfied with the service. The condition of the car was exactly as expected. The driver was very courteous and conscientious about the transport. I highly recommend Fleet United Auto Transport for any of your auto transportation needs.  (more)
