Dependable Tow & Recovery Inc. - Review

I was VERY pleased with the prompt service I received from Paul at Dependable Towing. Initially I called AAA and they connected me. Paul called immediately to assess the problem with my car and he arrived within 20 minutes. He allowed me to sit in his vehicle with the heat on while he tested and fixed my car in the 20 degree weather. He was courteous, kind and very personable. I was back on the road in no time.  (more)

I met Dave at their office in New York. I did not get the warm and fuzzies from him, but he texted the next day will a smoking deal and said the car would be there in 3 days. That did not happen, which would have been understandable if he let me know right away, but instead I asked what time it would be here the supposed day if delivery, to find out that it was still in New York. Terms of our agreement were deposit and balance COD. I received a text on a Wednesday stating the car would be a few hours away in another town and once we wired the money they would ship it the rest of the way. Basically holding it ransom, FYI nothing the police can do for you at this point. I ended up wiring the money and he still would not let me know where the car was being stored, even paid $40 more for secure storage for the night. I just wanted my car, so I drove 2 hours, finally got the location, and the car was not there, he sent another address 25 minutes away, my car was there, but it was not a secured location, it was an apartment complex and the car was left unlocked. The outside had 3000 miles of dirt and grime on it, even though I paid for an enclosed transport. The person who had the keys would not answer calls or text. After talking with the police, I had to steal my own car, and no one said anything, as it took an hour to ratchet it up onto the trailer. Then pay a lock smith to rekey it and someone to detail. These folks are very unprofessional. They delivered my truck to a different destination than in the contract. Then I find out that the truck was stored at someone's driveway and I was supposed to pay 50/night for storage. When I checked my truck, I saw that they have used a hook on the chrome bumper and damaged the bumper.  (more)

The service was very good from this company. They delivered my car directly to my door in NY, and they were good about being in contact when picking up and when dropping off the car. The car arrived in good condition, in a reasonable time frame. My primary contact was always there every time I called. I am very satisfied with the service.  (more)

Driver was very experienced in the business and made me feel comfortable with the business transaction. My experience with Dependable Tow & Recovery was fantastic and the delivery person was excellent. My car was pickup on time and it was delivered on time as planned. I was concerned that my car was drity while dliver to me But the driver explained me the situation and that was understandable.We will for sure use this company again and will suggest others to if needing to transport their car!  (more)

I have used Dependable Tow & Recovery 4 times now. I was very pleased with the professionalism of this company. We liked the fact that they gave us a guarantee about the date that they would ship our truck. My car picked in time and my car delivered in time. Car was in good shape, but very dirty which I would expect since it went across the country in the winter. Would definitely use this company again and recommend them to anyone.
