Car-Go Auto Transport - Review

They either never scheduled a driver according to customer service or scheduled one who had inexplicable problems getting to my house according to the rep who signed me up. I had to call and email them repeatedly for several days to try to get them to talk to me. The customer service rep in particular acted like I was being totally unreasonable to want to know what was going on with the arrangements I had made a month in advance. He literally told me to stop calling him even though they still had no idea what was going to happen to my car. It was a horribly stressful experience. Finally to pick up my car during the agreed upon time frame I had to agree to pay more than the contracted price. I cannot believe I agreed to it but I was stuck at that point because I was moving the next day. The car then arrived later then promised. They said the company would refund my card 50 not the full extra amount they charged me but 50 as a courtesy after I paid the delivery fee. Unfortunately the driver could not take a card which I was never told so my husband had to run to the grocery store and get a money order so we did not hold the driver up too badly. Literally everything that could have gone wrong with this company did go wrong with this company. The driver who did NOT work for them they claim they are not a broker but they are was the only good part of the interaction.  (more)

I used Car-Go previously and thought it was outstanding service. This time going from Hawaii to Alabama started out just as well, but now has gone downhill. I thought it was great that I got daily updates on the status of my truck, but today I realized that I've gotten the same update for 11 days (Can't schedule your truck to move). My truck has been sitting at the dock in CA for 11 days and counting (I got my first daily update on 11 Jul and it's now 22 Jul). Car-Go still is unable to schedule transportation between CA and Alabama. Since it's the weekend, it'll probably be Monday before they "TRY" to schedule it again (2 weeks in the same spot!). I wouldn't be so irritated if the truck was moving. The whole point of this company is to move vehicles and my truck has been in the same place for 11 days. Their website says they need a week notice to pick up a vehicle, but they can't seem to get a transporter to move a vehicle already in their pipeline for going on 2 weeks this coming Monday. They quoted me three weeks to deliver, and I was willing to give them some slack on that since they don't control the boat, but having it sit for 11 days (14 on Monday) is just unacceptable. It's now a week overdue, they have no idea when it's going to start moving, and I have no idea how much longer I will be without my vehicle. Sad thing is I sent about 12-15 people to them in the last year who were moving from Hawaii to the mainland US. All of them, thankfully, had a great experience. So, overall, I've got mixed feelings. Last move was great, this one is terrible, all my co-workers I recommend them to had a great move. Just for the record: I contacted them on 20 April and had made payment and recieved my receipt on 6 May for a 22 Jun drop off. I dropped the truck at the Hawaii port on 22 Jun as agreed and called them when I left the port. I paid them 47 days before I dropped the vehicle off and they can't seem to move my truck out of the CA port for 2 weeks? They had almost 2 months to plan this and couldn't get it right. First of all I would like to say Thanks to the company, they organized and completed my transport work in a professional manner. Relocation was not at a great deal when we handle it to such type of dedicated transport services. The driver took good care of my vehicle, kept me informed about the status, and amazed me through his quick trip.  (more)

I have just experienced a very professional service from Car-Go Auto Transport. Other companies offered cheaper transport but couldn't promise that the car would be picked up on a specific day which was critical for us. Car was picked up on time and delivered on time without a scratch. The Car-Go Auto staff was friendly, communicative, thorough and quick to respond. Very good customer service. Every aspect of the transaction went as planned with no surprises. I would recommend Car-Go Auto Transport if you want a professional job done at competitive rates.  (more)

The prices quoted were very reasonable. The car was picked up and delivered in a timely matter. The vehicles arrived in perfect condition. They provided great communication and customer service. Thank you guys for doing a great job . I'd definitely encourage anyone to use Car-Go Auto Transport !!  (more)
