Raber's Auto Transport - Review

My husband and I had to ship my car from Long Island, NY to Sierra Vista, AZ (which is 70 miles South of Tucson). I went through Direct Auto Movers who contracted my job to Rabers Auto Transport. After reading the two or three reviews on here, I was very nervous about them shipping my car. My car arrived this morning (9/24... RIGHT on time) in great condition! Other than being filthy, which is to be expected after being sent basically across the country, the car was perfectly fine. Rabers picked up right on time and dropped off right on time. I was very happy with the way they conducted business and would absolutely use them again.  (more)

Raber's Auto Transport is the most careless, unprofessional, and inconsiderate company ever. I had my 1960 Thunderbird which was in the middle of a restoration shipped my NY to GA. I received my T-Bird with damaged to the freshly painted hood from the driver towing it backwards with a rearward opening hood. On top of that, they cut a section of the brand new wiring harness to attempt to tie to hood down after the fact. Leo (owner/driver) blamed me for the damage to my vehicle due to there not being hood latches and claimed no responsibility. What moron tows a classic car with a rearward opening hood backward so it can fly open in the wind and then cuts a brand new wiring harness to tie to tie the hood down? Totally unprofessional. They dragged my car down the road like it was a junkyard care and didn't give a damn. Currently seeking legal action.  (more)

It took longer than predictable to get the car picked-up but I had a flexible schedule so it wasn't an issue. Specialty Mobile increased the amount being obtainable to the carrier to get the car moved. Once a carrier was assigned the pickup and drop-off went easily.  (more)
