RC Carriers - Review

We contracted with Auto Move It to transport a 2003 Buick Century from Arizona to Missouri. The quoted price was $625.00, payable to the driver upon delivery. They did not require a deposit. After a short delay in scheduling a truck, Vitaly was able to get a truck scheduled within a day of a follow up contact by me. Our car was scheduled to be picked up on January 14, 2008, by RC Carriers, from Festus, MO, and to be delivered on January 17, 2008. I received a call from the transportation company the day before, confirming the pickup. The gentleman even went so far as to give me a 2 hour pickup window, and he was right on. The driver, Robert, called me within the pickup window they gave me, to discuss a pickup location. My original suggestion was in the middle of the street around the corner of my home. While there was plenty of room to load the car without interfering with traffic, Robert wasnot comfortable with this, and asked if I could meet him at where he had stopped, which was a large, open parking lot. I drove to meet him, and he had the car loaded within 15 minutes. He was then kind enough to take me back home, about a 10 mile drive. Robert was on his way by 2:30 pm, and delivered the car about 11:00 pm the following day, 2 days ahead of schedule. Needless to say, our relative, the recipient of the car, was elated. I would highly recommend both Auto Move It and RC Carriers for your transportation needs. Both companies seem to be mom and pop type operations, and I am all for giving my business to them. Both companies did a wonderful job in arranging transportation, and transporting, the vehicle. If we ever need transportation services again, I will not hesitate to use either company.  (more)

I just wanted to let you know that my car has safely arrived and I am much satisfied with the service. The carriers were very friendly and good about calling me with enough notice to meet them at each destination. I'll definitely recommend your service to anyone needing a car shipped. :I have received quotes from 10 different companies and RC Carriers offered me the lowest rate. I decided to use this company after reading many good reviews about it's agents especially Kathy Grant but my quote was already generated by another agent, Jim Lane. I called Kathy to ask her to take over my contract, but she explained that Jim would provide the same service. However, first problem I noticed was Jim never answered my phone call directly, and I normally didn't hear back from him until I contacted him again. There was a delay from a truck driver, but Jim never contacted me with any updates. Basically I had to chase the delivery and be directly in contact with the truck driver the whole time. I finally received my car after a long wait, still think the only job that Jim did was to introduce me to the truck driver. I wouldn't complain too much since the rate was pretty low compared to other company, but I strongly encourage you to contact Kathy first if you want to have a smooth transaction.  (more)
