: Caution: DO NOT USE!!
I had been trying to set up transport with Fast Auto Movers for 2 weeks. Finally, Peter Odiot from Fast Auto Movers called me on a Saturday afternoon & said to send my car to FL it would cost $625. $150 had to be sent to him immediately and a mover would be at my house in 2 hours to pick up my car. He told me to pay the driver $475 upon his arrival. He took a credit card number over the phone & immediately charged the $150. The carrier didn't show up that day at all. I tried to call Peter, but he didn't answered his phone the rest of the day. I finally reached him Sunday afternoon. He "acted" surprised that no one picked up the car. He said he'd call the carrier & call me right back to let me know either way what was going on. Once again, I didn't hear back from him the rest of the day. I tried to call his cell throughout the day & evening (which is advertised to be the 24/7 cell for the company), but my calls went straight to voice mail, which was full and wouldn't take my messages. Monday morning I called the office and was told they couldn't do anything and would have to contact Peter. Finally, Monday afternoon Peter decided to answer his phone. I told him I had missed the window to have my car sent to Florida because the carrier never showed up and I wanted a refund. He said OK. Later that afternoon the carrier called me. He said that he spoke to Peter Saturday Morning & told him the carrier wouldn't be coming. Still, Peter called me Saturday afternoon & lied to me about the carrier coming just to take my money. It's been over a week now & no one will return my calls and I am still out $150. I am in the process now of filing a police report. On a side note, the office staff was very rude and unresponsive. They're well versed in giving you the run around. DO NOT USE THIS CARRIER. THEY ARE THIEVES.
Since this comment posted on another site, Peter has refunded my money. It took a week and a half, but ONLY because I posted a negative review. Before the review came out, he wouldn't return my calls or my money. He did respond to my review (as I'm sure he will this one), by blaming the trucking company or blaming the fact that I was waiting for 2 days for someone to show up. I spoke to the company that was supposed to pick the car up & they said no one was coming for the car & Peter knew it. The earliest it could MAYBE happed was 7-10 more days. This company only called me because Peter put him up to it to do damage control 4 days later, but it backfired because the trucking conmpany told me the truth. I have no doubt that he would have kept my money & never returned my calls if I had not shared my experience with the public. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. (more)
