All American Transport Company - Review

: poor service
We have good luck with them in the past however are very disjointed this spring with them. They were to pick up our car with in a few days of August 26th in Lakeland Fl and have it delivered to Lansing MI. it is now May14 and still no car. We have a contract for $700.00 and now we are told that for a $1000.00 they can get it delivered.
Based on my last experience I like these guys and Byron seems honest but really I feel now like I am being held hostage. I would be happier if they were straight with me up front about time frame and costs. (more)

: AVOID AT ALL COSTS
DO NOT SHIP WOTH ALL AMERICAN Your car will not be safe and they do not care.
We shipped our vehicle through Leo at All American on June 30th days before the transport he switched companies on us but assured us Lakes Transportation Inc was a good company.
THEY ARE THE WORST They are crooks. They damaged the roof of the car and are refusing to accept liability.
When we went to file a claim Leo did not even have a current insurance document on them. He did get me one but these guys have a web of 3rd party defenses around their insurance provider.
We shipped the car in June and we are still fighting with these crooks.
DONOT RISK YOUR CAR (more)

: Great Experience, Great Value, Smooth Sailing!
This company has been shipping cars since 1964, and it really shows. Victoria was communicative and answered all of my questions throughout. My Honda was delivered on time and with 0 issues. It was so easy, that it felt just like I was shopping on Amazon. A+ work! (more)

: Unprofessional and untrustworthy
I was approached by this company to transport my vehicle after I filled out an online form on a website where different carriers can bid on it. When they first called they said we will do it for 550 then later I was contacted by another company that company and they would charge me 500 for the transport.
So I let Caesar know that. He lowered the price to 500 and went on about how professional their company was.. He asked me to look at the review on transportreviews.com and how they deliver on time and blah blah... I guess I fell for it. I decided to go with them.
Then they asked me to give my credit card number but they wouldn't charge me until the vehicle was dispatched. I wanted to make sure when my car would be delivered before I made my final decision. I needed it their asap. I explained him that... then he said he would look for carriers that were driving that route and let me know. I wanted the car to be there by Sunday1/29/2012. He didnt call.. so i called back again. He said that he hadn't found a carrier yet.
Then he called and let me know that they can pick it up on Thursday 1/26 and the car would be there on Monday 1/30. I said ok but didnt want any more delays. Then he send me the dispatch notice with the carrier information, pick up and delivery time. The carrier was called Master Logistics. After that I didnt hear from them. Caesar had told me that they would contact me about 2-3 hrs before pickup. IT was Thursday and I waited and waited and heard nothing from Caesar nor the driver.
Then I called Caesar and asked him whats going on. He said he would check and let me know. I didnt hear back from him so I called the driver and he said he will be there tomorrow as they had to do an oil change to their truck. I told him that as long as it gets there on time its ok if you pick it up tomorrow. Then next day I dont hear from anyone.
Nor the driver nor the All American Transport Company. I call the driver again. He said he would be there that evening (1/27). As usual, no one called... I called All American and let Caesar know ... he said he would call back but no reply......
I called the driver again that evening... he says he will be there tomorrow.... I am already starting to get pissed... Tomorrow (Sat 1/28) came and I still dont hear any thing from any body... finally after calling the driver few times he pics up his phone and says he is on his way and will be there by noon. Again No response from the driver and its already 1.
This is just ridiculous... you cant be waiting on the driver all week expecting when he is going to call .... I got tired and decided to wait for him to call me back... it was 5 and still i dont hear from him nor All American. I couldn't wait for him because I had to go somewhere so I called him around 5 and asked him where he was... he says he is 5 mins away.
Finally he showed up and picked up my car. I asked him when the car would be delivered.. he says he would shoot for Monday... I said ok but I seriously had a doubt.... Long story short... Same thing happened while delivery, first they said monday 1/30, thats what it was scheduled for , then evening, then next day, then evening for sure then next day and finally it reached the destination on Friday evening (3rd Feb).
Meanwhile I had called and Emailed Caesar from All American several times and he keeps blaming Master Logistics saying that they are the carrier and not his Company.
I contacted All American and not Master Logistics, if the vehicle is delayed for any reason why cant they notify me in advance so that I dont sit there waiting. And I dont care what company they choose to deliver my car.
I contacted All American and they should keep track of where the vehicle is or if there is going to be any delays or not... This is a very untrustworthy company. I dont know how they are getting so many good reviews. It could be them writing their own reviews.... (more)

: Sweet Delivery
I used an online service to get 7 quotes to ship my Vanagon from CO to CA. The first 6 companies had horrendous reviews. All American had decent reviews so I decided to give them a call. Michael R was very honest, helpful, responsive and easy to deal with. I liked that they don't take your deposit until they've found a car. The Vanagon was delivered early and I couldn't have been more thrilled. I would definitely use these guys again. (more)

: Theft and Extortion.. BEWARE!
On Oct 5,2011 we hired All Amercan Transport to transport two vehicles. A 2008 Mini Cooper to be transported from MA to FL before Nov 12,2011 and a 2007 Nissan Maxima from FL to MA anytime after Oct 28th. On Oct 10th we were told the Mini Cooper would be picked up but the hauler never showed up. The next day we contacted All American Transport. They called back that evening saying the truck had broken down and they would send another hauler. Oct 28,2011 another hauler showed up named Carla J Chirinos. This driver said we had to pay $150 cash to take the belongings in the trunk or they would be thrown away at the side of the highway on the way to Fl. The belongings consisted of 3 leather jackets, a car cover and some small misc.items. Per our contract with All American we are allowed up to 100 pounds of belongings in the car and these items did weigh less than 100lbs. We promptly told him to leave and we reported him to All American. They said they would send another hauler at which time we had to postpone the transport of the Nissan because they did not transport the Mini Cooper as promised. On Nov 4,2011 another hauler arrived named Jack Soban. He inspected the vehicle, had us sign the inspection report, loaded the vehicle and went on his way. The vehicle arrived in FL on Nov 12th and we discovered that one of the leather jackets as well as the car cover were both missing. Is it just a coincidence that the same items the previous driver had threatened to throw away were now missing??? Highly unlikely. Jack stated that the trunk flew open on the highway, so they must have blown out. That car has been driven for 3 years up and down highways and the trunk has never "blown" open as Jack claims.
All American transport and Jack Soban refused to compensate us in anyway for the loss of these items. There was no way we could entrust them with another vehicle and requested they cancel the Nissan transport due to their dishonest business practice and are still waiting for the refund of the $200 deposit as agreed in the contract. Please do not use this company. The haulers they use are criminals. (more)

: Highly Valuable
I was about to shift my car in a safe condition on that time I called American Transport Company based on a referral. The great staff Michel was very helpful and guided me through the whole process. When the time came, they came and took care of car as if it was a Toyota. They dropped it off to our new home and again met with great care as they dropped it off. I was so happy I recommended them to the company to transport our other employees' cars as well. Thanks a lot. (more)

This was the first time we had a car transported and it was a excellent experience. The car was picked up on a Saturday and delivered the next Friday. The statement was as great as the service and the price was the most aggressive. (more)
