Review Description
I paid extra to use the Expedited option to ship my Honda Fit from Portland to Dallas. Mayflower Express Direct Auto Transport, was the only company to offer door-to-door service with guaranteed pickup and delivery dates. The customer service was great. Phone calls were always answered promptly (within a few hours), people were friendly (not true of other companies I called-and I called many), and my questions were answered thoroughly. I ended up having a terrible time with the carrier, who barely spoke English, didn't bother to call for pickup (I had to call him), and was late for delivery (by a few days). When I called to ask for the status (I had paid for a guaranteed delivery date), he refused to say where he (and my car) were, wouldn't answer any questions, and hung up on me. On the day of delivery, he then refused to release the car for the lesser amount (if not delivered on the guaranteed date, the cash on delivery to the driver was supposed to be less). I called Mayflower Express Direct Auto Transport and Spoke to Mike Mazzo on Saturday and actually spoke to someone working, which was pleasantly surprising. He called the truck driver immediately. Although he couldn't resolve the issue, he was very polite, apologetic, and said he'd bring it to the owner's attention first thing Monday morning. By Monday afternoon we had the car and had paid the driver the lesser amount. No damages to the car. The people working also assured me that they wouldn't be using that driver again. Overall, excellent service.
