: They arrived on time, packed efficiently
Moving is always stressful for me as I have been burned by price increases at the last moment and broken furniture/goods and damage to walls. I am pleased to say that with DC Pro Movers, this was all minimized. From the beginning, I spoke with them about the pricing as I had read some negative reviews talking about this and we agreed to have someone come out and give an estimate. I believe the owner came out to give the estimate and in my opinion, he overestimated a little, but I had rather him over estimate than under. The crew the day of was great and efficient and finished about an hour earlier than the quoted time which I kind of expected. They were not as careful with moving furniture in as I have few knicks in my walls now, but nothing super egregious and I heard the head mover even tell them a couple times to be more careful. Most of my items are in tact, so I appreciate that. The only real complaint I have is that they did not completely pack or have boxes for some of my pictures and decorations AND they did not protect my floors/carpet. I just had the carpet cleaned and they walked their muddy shoes all over my newly cleaned carpet. I would have preferred they put boxes down or booties or something to avoid dirtying the floors. Overall, it was a pretty uneventful move which I appreciated. They arrived on time, packed efficiently, and moved my things from the truck to the house expediently. I would use them again. (more)
