: Great Service! Early delivery!
Had a great experience with OK Auto Carrier out of Federal Way, Washington. Based on my experience, I would recommend them whole-heartedly to transport a car within the USA.
I put a quote request out on the internet via one of the “get multiple quotes” services. This was my first effort at shipping a car. It doesn’t take long to realize there is a norm in this industry: Most of the time, a small deposit is paid by the shipper up front, then the driver receives the remainder upon delivery (cashier’s check, or cash). In my case, this wasn’t going to work.
I purchased a new 2016 Chrysler from a dealer in Ohio, with the help of a local North Idaho Chrysler dealer. Time was critical to secure end-of-model-year incentives/rebates. The Idaho dealer did everything except arrange shipping – They made it clear they wanted NOTHING to do with this task.
I was committed to be at a trade show on the east coast of the US during the estimated delivery window, so I had to find a logistic broker that would take the job allowing me to pay up front. Of the dozen or so brokers who contacted me, two were amiable to my situation. I picked the broker with the best reviews on Transport Reviews, made the deal, and paid up front via PayPal.
So, away from home, with the delivery window upon me, I wasn’t getting much information from my broker, so I called dispatch at the carrier that accepted the job, OK Auto Carrier. I spoke by phone with Dan, who assured me my car was picked up in Ohio, enroute to Idaho, and was looking to be delivered about three days earlier than estimated. Great news!
Well fast forward a few days (yada, yada, yada for Seinfeld fans), and the car was indeed delivered early, professionally (according to the Idaho dealer POC), and in great condition.
Dan, the driver, and the team at OK Auto Carrier took great care of me and my brand new car. I definitely would use them again. In fact, I would directly contact OK Auto Carrier, cutting out the middle-man broker (no value add in my opinion), as OK Auto Carrier accepts quote requests on their website (http://okautocarrier.com). Live and learn, I guess!
Thanks Dan!
