Auto Rail Forwarders - Review

I Dealt with Gerry for 2 months to get a unit from Red Deer Alberta to Anywhere in New Brunswick. The promise from Gerry was that it would be there within 3 weeks ( I gave him and extra week leeway to get the unit to NB. Unit showed up 2 Weeks later than required forcing the Sr Lady to have to rent a unit until her car did show up in NB.An extra 800$ cost. When unit was picked up from the trucking yard in Red Deer the fella that picked it up put the car into a refrigerated truck to get it to Calgary. By far this company is the biggest joke in the industry. Call Hanson, they have been great at all of my other moves. 16 years in the auto industry and always trust the reviews.  (more)

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO SHIP YOUR CAR...I have the inside scoop of this company. I worked for Gerry for 8 months and was the worse job I have EVER had. I could not stand having to lie to the client on where their car was or when it was going to be there. Knowing that the car hadn't even left the origin. Gerry will make you pay up front but what you don't know is that the money you are giving him is paying for not your move but a move of another clients car that was probably booked a month before. If you happen to ship out of Halifax, you might want to write your kilometers down that are on your car, cause guaranteed he will drive it around specially if it is a sports car. If your car is getting shipped out of Vancouver, add about probably a month onto the time you were quoted, cause they only ship when it is a convenience to them cause Gerry gets a deal and the deal is, get a cheap price and we will ship when we can. If you happen to cancel, you might as well get a hold of a lawyer, cause you will never get your money back from him. NOW Insurance, don't hold your breathe about any damaged fixed on your car cause he will come up with some excuse why he should not have to pay. Like I said I worked for him for 8 months and he cannot even pay his employees let alone pay for your car to be shipped. PLEASE DO NOT GET STUCK AS I SEE SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE AND ARE GOING TO. He will nice to you until he has your money and than he will lie, curse or even hang up on you. He states that he has been in business for 26 yrs, ASK HIM how many names the company has been in. PLEASE BE CAREFUL, CARS ARE OUR BABIES AND I WOULD NOT SHIP MY CAR WITH HIM! Gerry, I know you will respond to this but there is nothing you can say to change my mind in this.  (more)

I was shipping my Ford F-150 very last month from Edmonton to Toronto with Auto Rail Forwarders. Grant was very useful in answering all the questions that I had about the shipping process. Later than I booked my order I was contacted by Steve who was Auto Rails shipping coordinator. He kept me updated every few days while my vehicle was in their hand. 8 days after my vehicle was dropped of at the terminal in Edmonton I had it in Toronto, without a scrape! enormous customer service!
