Review Description

Ed damaged my boat during transit. The whole skeg and propeller had been dragged on the ground and completely torn off. His driver stole a propeller from another boat on the trailer and put it on mine, thinking I would never notice. They were completely different makes, models, and material. He lied to my face saying he didn't touch it. The lower unit of my motor appeared to be ground down by some mechanic, leaving a huge crack down the center of the unit. Ed thought a sufficient solution would be to send me some random used part off the internet and that would resolve the issue. I had repeatedly told him I want the motor to be inspected by a certified Yamaha mechanic, he didn't repsond to me for days. So I finally decided to file with his insurance company to avoid dealing with him. He was very upset after he found out I filed and told me in writing that I should expect to have the claim be denied because his driver wan't even insured under his company policy. To my benefit the underwriter accepted the claim and wrote me a check of 75% of the costs of repair, Ed however was now legally liable to send me a check for the remaining 25%. When I called to speak to him, he literally said F-you and hung up the phone. To this day he has not paid me and I can't believe he is still operating his business. Do yourself a favor and do not book this crook. He is liar and thief. Check out his BBB and DOT ratings...no good. He does not comply with the DOT standards, or any standards for that matter!!! STAY AWAY FROM HIM
