I get nervous about shipping my vehicle to and from overseas location every time I have to do it. This was my fourth time to do so. One of the reasons for being nervous about shipping your vehicle is shippers are extremely picky about the cleanliness of your car. They recommend you to get it professionally cleaned in and out. I knew I had to get my car washed before I could turn it in (and they provide you with a list of recommended vendors). The question was whether I will clean it myself or pay good money to have some detailing professional clean it for me. I opted to do the job myself this time. I must have done a pretty decent job since it passed inspection the first time. The whole process was fairly smooth this time. We had an appointment for this turn in, and we were there early. It was a challenge to find a parking space for our vehicles because it was very crowded when we got there. Once we were inside, we had to sign in and wait for a while before an agent was able to do the intake. The rest was pretty smooth. If you are turning in your vehicle for shipment, make sure you have all the required paperwork, your vehicle is clean inside and out, and early for your appointment. I believe this is your keys to be successful turning in your car. P.S. Thankfully, our vehicle reached the destination in good condition. Id say our process was very trouble free though it took longer than what we were promised initially.
