After I looked carefully at these ratings, I contacted Alpine to transport a car from Tennessee to Rhode Island. Unfortunately, Alpine could not take the job because they didn’t have trucks in my area at that time. My bad luck. So I contacted a lower-rated broker (no, I won’t name names). What a mess that was! They handed me off to a carrier – I checked the carrier’s rating and learned that this carrier had badly damaged a car while it was in transit. Then the broker handed me off to another carrier, another loser – this guy sounded spaced out. ***So I went back to Alpine.*** Alpine still could not do the shipment themselves, but Alpine’s good reputation convinced me to consider their referral. “Mike” at Alpine arranged the transit through Hatch Brothers of Gilbert, AZ – the driver’s name was “Carl,” one of the nicest guys I ever met. Carl is an upright fellow with heart. He’s very cooperative. We worked well together to get the car shipped – it was a gift to my daughter. The shipment was completed without any problems. It was a perfect job. I was very happy with Alpine’s referral, and I was very happy to meet Carl and arrange for the shipment through Hatch Brothers. This whole story had a very happy ending.
