Review Description
I conducted EXTENSIVE research on a shipping company that I could rely on since I'd never shipped a vehicle before. I looked at hundreds of reviews and after speaking with a representative I decided to go with DEPENDABLE AUTO SHIPPERS. Boy oh boy was I wrong! First off my husband is military and we were PCSing from Fort Hood (Texas) to Fort Myer (Virginia), and had to be in Virginia by a certain date. We both work so having my car in an unfamiliar state is critical b/c I am the one who takes our son to school and I've never ridden public transportation before and didn't know how it worked. Anyway, the day before my scheduled pick-up, 18 Dec 09, I STILL had not received a call from the wrecker. After I called I found out that Janis Pope had not put in the correct information, however, they quickly rebounded and a representative, I sure wish I could recall her name, not only made sure that all information was correct I also received that phone call within the hour from the guy coming to pick-up my truck. Had that representative not been so responsive and helpful I would have cancelled that day. The estimated delivery date was 2 Jan 10, needless to say they did NOT meet that estimate. However, I waited until the 4th of January to call just to give them time to deliver. I called Janis, since that was the only number I had, to get an update on when my truck would be delivered b/c I received NO correspondence from them. Well Janis transferred my faster than a hot potato to the automated system. It was like after I paid in full and they picked the truck up (and I couldn't cancel) I really didn't matter to them. After being on hold for about 20 minutes waiting to speak with a real live human being I preceded to use the automated system. Well apparently my vehicle has just been sitting around b/c the machine gave me an estimate of 9 JANUARY 2010!!!! Frustrated but still calm I continued to try to get a human and after another 4 or 5 minutes was connected to Mia,
