Review Description

Using Crowley was and absolute waste of our time, money, and energy. We were sent an email quote of $349 to transport a car from Sacramento, CA to Portland, OR. The quote stated that it was "all-inclusive covering taxes, tolls, fuel, and insurance" and that there were no "additional or hidden fees". We were charged $99 to my credit card, and was told to pay $250 cash upon delivery. When the car was delivered by Save-On Transport towing company, the driver demanded $400 cash and threatened to place the car in storage in Vancouver, Washington, which cost $100 per night, if we did not pay. This means that we paid a total of $499 for something that was quoted at $349. After calling and emailing several people (both Edward Williams at Crowley Transport and several people at Save-On Transport) about this price discrepancy, I finally got a hold of Edward Williams by phone. He said he could send us a $100 check in 3-4 business days. Note that after this $100 "refund", I still would have paid $49 over the quoted price. After 3 weeks however, I still did not receive a check. This has been a drawn out process that lasted two months. Crowley has been extremely unresponsive and now we have to deal with my credit card company to get $99 back. Crowley Auto Transport is an unscrupulous company that does not honor its quotes or its promises for refunds. NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE!!!
