Review Description
Our representative at Amerifreight was nice on the phone when we discussed shipping our car from Texas to New Hampshire. He did find a carrier for us but at a price $300 higher than our original quote. In order to make the deal work, our Amerifreight representative did reduce his portion of the deposit by $100. From there things went downhill. The carrier arrived late and refused to give us copies of the paperwork. We called both Amerifreight and the carrier company to have the paperwork faxed to us but they never sent it. The carrier had problems with their truck which caused the delivery to be two days late. Amerifreight had given us the phone number for the carrier and we communicated directly with the carrier about the status of our vehicle. We informed Amerifreight about the issues with paperwork and delayed delivery but never received any calls back from them on the status of our delivery. All the information we obtained was due to the fact that we were calling the carrier. Our car was delivered at 9:30pm in the dark and again the carrier refused to give us copies of the paperwork. The windshield on the car was badly cracked and will need to be replaced. We called Amerifreight to let them know that the delivery did not go as well as we had hoped and to report the damaged windshield. We received a form-letter email telling us to go through the carrier's insurance and then our own insurance. We also placed a call and an email to see if Amerifreight still wanted us to post this review but they never replied so according to our original agreement we are leaving the review. Although our car did get there, we would not use this company again due to the fact that communication was totally lacking.
