Having never shipped a car before, I wasn't sure what to do or expect. I needed to ship my son's car to him from FL to CA. I had previously contacted another shipping company but after over a week and no communication, I began looking for another company. I later found out that because I had taken the LOWEST quote that the car probably would not be picked up by a carrier. So I learned to take the middle of the road quote when I tried again.This time I went with AmeriFreight. Jasmine was very knowledgable and helped me decide on which quote would best fit my needs. She sent the paperwork via email and I was able to complete the papers and fax them to her that afternoon. I placed the order on Thurs. afternoon, and on Friday she called with a carrier! The driver's wife actually contacted me on Saturday to let me know that her husband Mike would call me on Sunday and give me an approxmate time and the car was picked up on Monday. In less than 4 days my car was on its way to CA! I did have to meet the carrier about a mile from my house b/c of tree limbs hanging over the roadway, but that was not a problem for me. It let me know that the driver was concerned about the care of each of the vehicles on his carrier. Mike, the driver, was super nice and answered all of my questions. He was very thorough in loading the car, measuring, adjusting, and re-measuring the height of the top vehicle. He answered my texts to let me know where he was each time I contacted him. The car was delivered 1 day ahead of schedule and probably would have been sooner, had the driver not had a/c problems in Texas!If I ever have to ship a vehicle again, AmeriFreight will be my first and only choice!
