Review Description
We have used Amerifreight to ship three cars, and would use them again if needed. We were involved in a cross country move (there and back again) and our cars were always well treated. The process of shipping differed this last time in that we shipped during a time of unusually high demand. Upon contacting Amerifreight, I was warned that the demand was high, and that it might be neccessary to increase the amount offered in order to get a company to ship the car. This is indeed what happened. After waiting for several weeks for a shipping company to pick up our contract (Amerifreight is a broker, not the actual shipper), we contacted them and authorized an increase; Amerifreight also reduced the amount of their fee, in order to increase further the amount offered to the shipper. As we had already moved, I had to leave the car with a friend to be picked up, and was anxious not to overly burden that friend. As it turned out, the shipper who eventually picked up the contract was easy to work with, and made it easy on my friend. The car was delivered earlier than expected, although I had to drive half a hour from where we were staying in order to meet them at a place they could easily unload. An over all possitive experience, and I would recommend Amerifreight to friends, along with a relating of the potential efforts required.
